Over in my 'Is it just me?' thread, an interesting idea has come to light.

The purpose of this new thread is to see who, if anyone, would be interested.

During the discussion, we've discovered that several of us have half finished work, and someone mentioned story swapping. If you have a brainchild that has puttered off course, or if you don't know where to go with it, or you're just plain bored with it... would you be interested in handing it over to another pervert such as yourself to finish it? (or even just add to it?)

Only stipulation~ you must write in the nude.

You read my mind...

I wrote what I thought was a pretty good start to a mind-control series, and realized that it would probably be relegated to incest/taboo. I turned around and rewrote the first 10K words to so to make the beginning a 'generic' beginning, and started on three different endings: one mature, one incest, one group sex.

I've been contemplating inviting others to take the beginning chapter, and write their own continuation, which could cover pretty much any category. I'd love to see where others could take the story.

I've been sitting on this one for over a year. The incest version is nearly book length now, and the mature version has taken a real fun turn. Don't know how the powers-that-be would be able to add it to the story list - would be a little complicated. I'm sure if I asked, they'd figure it out.

So yeah, I've more than thought about it - I've even written the character backgrounds, house and neighborhood layouts, and other background information to make it easier on any collaborators.

I got up early so I could play on here while I drank coffee and smoked cigs before work, and I'll be damned if my freakin' internet was down. So I got up an extra 45 minutes early for nothing. (Okay, so I wrote a few pages on one of my unfinshed ones, one that I might hand off to someone else. )

Any suggestions on how they would be posted though?
When Matriarch and I wrote ours together, we decided (well, I decided, lol) that it should go into her submissions. She had a much higher viewing population. However, at the beginning we added a note that it was jointly written.
Anyone have any better ideas?

I have three ideas for how to credit these stories. I just had this debate as I ghost wrote a story for someone else. In the end I wanted the plot and character creator to take the billing as it was a new experience on that end, and I already had plenty of my own stuff planned for the contest.

First, pick the writer who would get the most exposure, like Kitten did and name the other writer in a brief note at the start of the story.

Second, create a new account that merges the two names in some way.

Third, and my favourite, talk to Manu about setting up something whereby we can have more than one author listed in the credit and posting.

I like the third option best as I think, knowing the current crop of Ahers, that this won't be a flash in the pan thing.

Good luck, and if I ever have something erotic unfinished, I will be stopping by to play along with you.

At my sentencing I exclaimed “Not Pride, but Freedom,” to no avail: the all-prideful One would not be countered. He stood as judge, jury, accuser, and now would rule on my life, and over the world. I was cast into this underworld, then, through the portals where all hope is abandoned, to dwell in basaltic caverns inflamed by rivers and rivulets of glowing magma. Through untold millenia I stood chained to the sharp igneous rocks of my abode until the heat melted rock and flesh into one, and my thoughts, my memories of freedom, of feeling were lost in lifeless stone.

But now I sense a stirring, a vibration of my petrous form in resonance to the calling of my name. Consciousness slowly returns as the vibrato of an ancient incantation carried on the impassioned soprano of a primordial woman, a Lilith or Eve or Innana seeking the power of the gods, shakes flesh free from stone. Condemned as a beast of this world, I remain such as my own beast is freed from the cavern wall and once more feels the freedom of its own motion and its own stiffening. The rest follows suit, my leathery wings last to regain the suppleness of self-rule, and they fly me over the closed gates to the chamber where she who has called, who has freed me, sits chanting.

I don't know about the chain story idea.. I wonder if people would take the time to go find the next one? Not a bad idea though.
My only other idea is to post it under the author who originally started it. (Pointing out it was jointly written, of course.) Instead of the higher traffic idea.

And writing that felt dirty because, well, it was. (And you were probably naked when you wrote it! )
