A friend of mine has digital cable with all sorts of crazy channels. My favourite is the Game show Network. I watched it for hours with reruns of Family Fued with that old pervert (what's his name?) who would surely get charged with some kind of sexual assault if he bahaved that way nowadays, $10,000 Pyramid, Bumper Stumpers, and many I'd never even heard of!

What are your favourite game shows, past or present?
Have you ever been (or wanted to be) a contestant?
Ever called the Who Wants to be a Millionaire hotline?? lol

Richard Dawson!

My mom lives for that channel, she has the hots for him. LOL

As for favorite game shows, I pretty much stick to The Price Is Right. I've been in love with Bob Barker since I was 5. My mom and babysitter have told me that I'd watch the whole show and cry at commercials and when it was over.

See Tiggs, I used to like older men! LOL

I loved "Let's Make A Deal" with Monty Hall. Goofy shit. Hard to believe a brand new car was only $2000 in those days.

"Match Game" was so cheesy, and so was "Hollywood Squares" funny how many of those "stars" weren't on anything else but game shows.

I'd like to be on "Rock and Roll Jeopardy" I'd kick everybody's ass.

"Chicago 60609"

Jeopardy in any way shape or form.

I was in a local telvisied high school version of it twice, I won both times it seemed to be like they used questions from the real TV version from the night before, it so rocked.

The Price is Right is an oldie but a goodie I love Plinko!

And, although I hate Vanna, and Pat, I do like to play along and guess the phrase on Wheel of Fortune.

The one game show I used to watch was the one with that Whamie Guy on it... remember that one? I damn it all to hell I can't remember the name of the show. I used to love when he would hula his way across the screen and steal their points. WHAT THE HELL WAS THE NAME OF THAT SHOW?? SHIT!

Hey Ezzie, I think I heard that Bob's retiring soon! Isn't he like 80? Ok, more like 70? That'll be sad. I've been watching Price is Right every day, lately. Do you think they'll replace him or run reruns when he's gone?

Yeah, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are the best current ones. Millionaire drives me crazy with all its melodrama, and the questions are often so easy!

Oh oh, I just thought of another good one: Win Ben Stein's Money! Anybody watch that one? It's funny and the trivia is at least as hard as Jeopardy, and much harder than Millionaire.

OMG NO BOB!!

I didn't know he was gonna retire, now I'll have to find someone else to idolize and lust over. Hmmm, Alex Trebek, Pat Sajack, Ben Stein, Regis Philbin? Yikes, I don't like these choices, maybe it's time to move on to talk show hosts... I'd have to take Maury Povich I guess.

As for re-runs or replacing him? I'd opt for running old shows because my beloved Bob cannot be replaced in my eyes. LOL

I did take the Jeopardy! test one time and am proud to say that I passed it. The test is 50 questions and you have to get 35 right to pass and get placed in their file. Unfortunately, I was never selected to be on the show.

I called Millionaire a time or two but that lottery thing to select contestants kind of sucks.

I kind of like History IQ on The History Channel. That is actually hard but having the guy from Family Double Dare host makes me think that if you get a wrong answer, they are going to dump green slime on you.

The categories on Ben Stein's Money are great. My favorite was "Hands off my Croque, Monsieur!"

I knew there must be a few trivia buffs among us. I'd be pretty proud of passing the Jeopardy! test, too, Ron. Good job!

You're right, Ben Stein's category titles are a riot! Of course, I can't think of any of my favourites right now. I also love the interaction between Ben and the other guy. (what's his name?) It's kinda like they're just goofing off, and don't really think anyone's watching. Very cute!

As for Millionaire, if I thought Regis was annoying, Pamela Wallen (sp?) proved me wrong. She did the Canadian version and she was BAD!! I can't imagine why they picked her. I would have preferred Mike Bullard, even.

LET'S MAKE A DAMN DEAL

When it was on, I would never miss one show of MTV's REMOTE CONTROL. That's where alot of comedians like Dennis Leary and Adam Sandler got their start. It would have the contestants lay in a Craftsmaster bed and name videos that they had seconds to view. And if they win, they would get some real awesome prizes. It was great while it was on MTV but when FOX picked it up, it got boring. I still remember the "Remote Control" T-shirt that my girlfriend bought me that I used to wear constantly. That was then.
This is now......WIN BEN STIEN'S MONEY has to be my favorite now. I didn't think that I would like it with his original sidekick (Tom) gone but his new sidekick is a cute and sexy hottie who keeps me laughing as well.
**********GUY JD, come on down*************

I went to the Wheel of Fortune tryouts when it was in the area but they had a lottery system in order to get picked. Bummer. :(

Big Bucks! No Whammies!

The name of the game show you're trying to think of is Press Your Luck, Renee. I also used to love the Whammies.

My favourite gameshow has got to be "Match Game" with Gene Rayburn as the host. That guy was just hilarious. I loved the goofy questions. "Dumb Dora was so dumb.... (How dumb was she?)"

I'm a huge trivia buff as well so I love shows like Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. I have several problems with WW2BAM though: 1. Regis Philbin. 2. how LONG it takes them to answer a damn question. 3. The completely unnecessary music and lights between every damn question. 4. Regis Philbin.

I love playing NTN trivia in the bars.

I also took the Jeopardy test, passed it & got called to come to try-outs. Unfortunately, I had to go out of town during try-outs, but if they come to Texas again, I am definitely going. I love trivia & when we play trivia games, I can beat everyone I know. R & R Jeopardy is harder, I know 50's-80's music, but anything else & I am clueless. Millionaire is too easy, I really think the contestants are not picked for their brain power. I would never be picked because I would be popping off answers so fast, they couldn't keep up. I am sorry, but the Kleenex question soured me on that show forever. My 8 year old neice gets at least half the questions right when she watches Millionaire.
