You can thank Clinton

Had he done the honorable thing for his party and resigned, then President Gore easily rides the backlash into the White House. The democrats sweep the House clean of all but the strongest republican congressmen, and of course the senate easily goes to the donkeys with at 60/40 split by 2002. Any liberal agenda Gore puts forth is rubber stamped by congress.

Now the democrat control of the senate is wishy washy at best, hinging on just one Dem in a Republican state taking the eternal celestial dirtnap.

Why would I want a bunch of hardline, wasteful democrats in the Whitehouse.

Government used to be about the art of comprimise. Now it is about character assassination and partisanship.

Fuck that, we need the Republican president to offset the Democratic congress.

I dislike both parties equally. The are to hardline for their respective parties.

Who speaks for the moderate majority?
