I thought V was the best Film I have seen since the Lord of the rings trilogy.

I loved the way the concepts of love , beauty, & reality were handled were fantastic. Was anyone here moved to tears more than once by this movie ?

I loved that movie. I watched it twice before I had to return it to the video store. Good visuals. Good story line and message from the movie. :nana:

Have disagree with you here.

Although I grant you it is a good movie, unfortunatly I had the Joy of reading the Graphic novel before the film was produced.

Unfortunatly it was nowhere near as thought provoking as the actual graphic work.

Did you happen to read the version of the GN that came with some of the two disk DVD " V " s ? I realise it was just the start of the GN but it seemed like the way the W. Bros. made the screenplay to me at least was as good of not better in some ways than that version of the orginal, I do think they should have had the computer in the storyline somewhere. I think I see where the GN's orginal thrust of anarchy against fascism could have been made but with all the detail it seems a trilogy would have ben in order to do the treatment justice.

I didn't know it was a 'comic book movie' until I watched some of the behind the scenes. However, I loved it. The scene where he introduced himself to her and went all alliterative was just comical. I watched it four times before I could keep on with the movie!

Only a 10? It was one of the best movies I've ever seen. :nana:
I plan on getting the DVD to keep.

It should win for best screenplay & Actor at the very least, I wonder if the Oscars will at last open up and nominate a sci-fi type film when it deserves it.

If Hugo gets the oscar nom for actor I will watch the Oscars for the first time since Castway.

i absolutly love v for vendetta.
there is no part of that movie that i didn't enjoy
the corrupt government storyline, the hospital flashback - oh goodness.

lovelovelovelovelovelove.
10 10 10.

BTW, the Oscar nominations are announced Jan. 23, 2007

They screwed up the story too much for me to really enjoy it. I wanted to see the real story.

It was an excellent movie, the dialogue was thought pervoking, yet perhaps to the point of over accesibility. It was perhaps too straightforward in its approach, and it indeed delivered what it promised, but I would not give it a ten.

The movie kicks butt. My friend got me the graphic novel recently. I am enjoying that more.

Remember Remember the Fifth of November is classic. It was presented in a fictional way of Guy's deed of what he thought of politics and society. V carried it out.

I thought the movie did a decent job of presenting the graphic novel and presenting David and Moore's vision.

... You joking? David Lloyd was just the artistic hand and I think they pulled that off very well.

However, Moore had publically called the script, "Rubbish".

I bought it this past week and watched it 2 days in a row. Really thought provoking and somewhat scary how many similarities there are with some of today's events concerning government and the media.

I loved the movie and cried at least once... watched it twice... have a crush on V.... very thought provoking movie....

So where in the movie did you cry ?

For me it's at the end of " The Letter "

As they are on the roof in the rain

When he shows her who wrote the letter

then again when he explains he is not the face under the mask

When she tells him she does not want him to die

When all the people gather and start marching together, that really gets me.

When Evey tells the detective who " V " was.

some parts get me more than others but the last line of " The Letter " always
goes right thru the heart.

I too watched this movie...and after I got done...I was like "damned that was good" looked at the clock and hit the play button again. I rarely watch something back to back like that but this one was worth it.

Watched it a 3rd time and I'm loaning it to my son and his wife and to my daughter and her fiancee. Now I'm in search of the novel.
