Because I have been trying to distract myself by shopping ever since I quit :D

Lemme tell you though, the sales out there are fantastic!

I've had enough of the mall crowd for one day, I could sure use a cigarette!

I like walking around near people who are smoking :/.

I have to stay isolated from them still. It's only been 8 days for me.

It's been about 4 months and the cravings still make me want to rip my hair out and/or physically assault people. I was so not ready to quit but my b/f is severely allergic to smoke so I just can't.

:/

Zmey, thanks :)

Angel, I feel for you. I was ready to quit though, it's been a long time coming.

The Surgeon General says it is better for your health to buy sexy undies than to smoke ciggies.

I am not ready to find out if it's cheaper. I am in denial about the whole thing.

Please don't burst this little bubble I am in.

Thank you.

(Hi Ya SoBlue.... you dolly.:) )

Hi D Rose :)

Believe me, I am talking about it so I have enough witnesses to keep me honest.

St. Pete, that is just what I bought ;)

I heard that having a non smoking section in a restaurant is like having a non peeing section in a swimming pool. Is this true?

Smoking is for wasters,. I used to smoke. I was a ten a day addict at the age of 11. I gave up at the age of 19 (smoking roughly between 10-30 a night) and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life.
My dad managed to give up heroin, yet couldnt give up ciggies.
he died last year of lung cancer.
what does that say about the effects of nicotine? my dad gave up crack and heroin...but couldnt beat ciggerettes..he smoked up untill 4 days before his death,
Fecker.

.....Hang in there blue...I am sure its still very tough, but the effects will be well worth it, i only wish i could quit....
....I will be thinkin'' of ya....and good luck.....

Me too!

I just braved a QUEBEC crowd, where like EVERYONE smokes, and bought Step # 2 of "The Patch" - the beer is soothing my urge to rip someone a new arsehole right now.... :(

Fight the urge.

Smokers Pallor

Smokers have a certain skin pallor also.

And yellow fingertips if they have the habit bad.

Three years here and I still have to leave the room full of smoke or I want a drag.

So this shit never ends.

:/

There's also something about their skin (besides the wrinkles and the pallor) that looks different. I think it may be the dullness. Last year, all three of my roommates were smokers (not to mention to rest of the population of Spain) and they all had this funny look to their skin.
