Who remembers Gumby?

omg....

I remember, but I think I'd prefer to forget.

:D

How could you not like Gumby?

He was just a little green slab of clay, Gumby!
You should see what Gumby can do today, Gumby!
He can walk into any book, with his pony pal Pokey too,
If you have a heart then Gumby's a part of you. :)

And don't forget Pokey. My son made me hunt for days for my old ones when he saw a video of them. We couldn't find Gumby but we did find Pokey. And he's still kicking even though one leg is kind of bent. :D

Bahhhhhh. lol

Give me the "Looney Toons" anyday,
I'd choose it over a slab of clay,
You say "Gumby's a part of you"...
Hell, I'd like to crush him with my shoe.

lol..how's that for a poem?

"The Gumby Show", created by Art Clokey premiered. Gumby and his horse, Pokey, were filmed using the process of claymation.

Ahhh. . .those were the good ol' days. :D

It's a damn shame that it had to end...but Gumby was gay and that was more taboo back then. And Pokey shooting horse... they had creative differences...Gumby fucked Pokey one night while Pokey was under the influence...caused a lot of problems...

Celebrities...they have no control!

Ah, well. . .they'd never survive in today's world of the Rugrats and SpongeBob Squarepants and Southpark.

Wonder what Gumby and Pokey are doing now?

I love SpongeBob...not too crazy about the new ones though...

Gumby was last seen in some crack house in New york and Pokey went back to his hometown in Lancaster PA...he pulls buggys...

I was a big Gumby fan when I was a kid. I used to take my own Gumby with me everywhere.

Thanks for the memories, cutie pie.

Gumby and Pokey are still alive and well loved.

A week ago we went to Powell's (City of Books) and my son, 6, insisted on having Gumby and Pokey figures. The bendable ones. Which, being the indulgent mommy, I bought for him. He took them to "Sharing" at school. They are his favorite interactive role playing toys of the moment.

Yeah Gumby... I knew that son of a bitch, with his green skin and vanilla ice shaped head... He was always stepping on my feet with those big block legs of his!!!

He had a thing for horses, always used to bet at the track... said Pokey had the inside info... Come to think of it damn bastard still owes me $20

hahahhahaha

YEAH lets get this moved to the Role Playing board and start up the fun!!! heheheheh

As for Spongebob...I wish he'd go away with all the other horrible cartoons they have these days. <shudder> I honestly feel sorry for kids today.

I remember making caucasian Gumbys out of sticks of Wrigley's gum. Very little skill required.

...and his last name was Dammit. How could ya not love a guy with a last name like that? (even if he was gay and liked to poke Pokey)

Gumby is now in the pizza biz. In fact I had some Gumby's Pizza last week, I also ordered a side of Pokey Stix. If anyone ever sees them, let them know they make a good pie.

Gumby and Pokey are still alive

I don't think that Gumby and Pokey have gone anywhere. Just recently in a hase of rememberence I bought the new bendible Gumby and Pokey. Pokey can with a space suit, but that can be overlooked. I also have a gumby t-shirt. I'm just one of those guys that likes the old, good cartoons. Transformer, Ninja Turtles, Thunder Cats. Ahhh.
