You know, the one that JUST RECENTLY got kicked for potential external promotion or something.

I didn't think 'TechCrunch' was anything like a competing publishing site... Never mind.

Anyway I'm assuming the removal was prolly not to do with 'TechCrunch.'

It was about Inkitt, which is an alternative story and crowd funded publishing site. Not really the same market niche as Literotica, but more of these websites are starting to tie story popularity with publishing. Wattpad does that now to a certain extent, but their format also encourages more book-like publishing. It’s interesting to see.

Personally, why I like Literotica, is because it is 'pro reader,' I think. And I am all about what readers want, not what some branded commercial editorial board and their propaganda machinery wants...

An author gets 'reach' here. And that's the main thing I'm looking to achieve. Most experienced writers know what their audience consists of, who those readers are, generally-speaking.

Sure most writers need and should be paid - but the world is changing too fast right now to be able to 'see' or predict what the stable commercial footing for writing really is anymore, and/or what it will be even a year out from now.
