Who is your favourite actress right now?

Gotsnowgotslush got me thinking about Boston, and it made me think about movies, hence the thread.

I also liked Good Will Hunting. I wonder what Minnie Driver's up to these days. That joke was classic. :)

Shailene gets mad props around here and seemingly well deserved. Not sure about her acting skills but she's a good egg.

Oh yes! I had to google her lol. My daughter loves the Divergent, Insurgent, Allegient movies. Don't even get me started on Nic. She's a nice lady, but her acting is a bit average. (I'm trying to be nice).

Oh really? I didn't know she was still acting. In my mind she's about 45 and living on an island sipping cocktails and watching her grandkids run around.
 
They might still be working after the age of 40, but it's sad to see all those actors who were once A-litsters take on mainly supporting roles of parents, grandparents and so on.

Like Ahley Judd in Divergent, or Merryl Streep in The Giver.

It will always be Mirren for me, but from this crop I'll go with Jessica Chastain. She's bloody fabulous in everything. And ditto Eva Green.
 
I don't know that I have a favourite actress. I might. I shall have to think about it.

I mostly tend to dwell upon how great a performance is when it's the first time I've ever seen someone and I've never heard of them before—someone to watch for in the future—or when I think someone is underappreciated and should be better known.
