who is new on here?

Whatever definition you people must be using, I think I would qualify as new, too. :)

"Oooh! Ooh! Me too! I'm new! What do I get?"

Hazing. :D
By me.

Awesome!

Seriously though...Myst, Cheyenne, and MysteryJKR, you're about as new as I am, and that's not much.

So what qualifies as new?

Another day to forget

My short-term memory is all shot to hell. Every day for me is like a new beginning. So, unless I've been here before, then I must be new.:(

Laurel:

For me new is simply a quality of time. After a month of regular posting I don't consider a person new. If you're talking about a newbie, someone who doesn't know the board's etiquette, groups of friends, picking order or major personalities.

Just like someone is still knew to a geographical area if they don't know their way around.

newbie???

Thanks for the in-put Never. What do more experienced members consider a newbie to be??? An honest question here....How should we be judged or how should we judge ourselves??? Or are we newbies just because we feel like newbies??? How about it ...any takers???

I have new panties on.
Does that count as being new?

(Wanna see?)
:p

Faith?
Honest answer...
You're as newbie as you feel.
Some people come here and act like they own the place from Day 1. (This tactic doesn't work too well for the majority who try it: be warned.) Some still feel "newbie pangs" for a long time after most everyone else has stopped asking "who's THAT?" upon tripping over a post.

I think no longer being a newbie is a feeling that flows from you to the Lit BB community at large.

When you're comfy, when you feel Lit around you enveloping you like a blanket on a frosty winter night, when you feel a part of the great posting machinery that defines the Lit BB's, then you're not a newbie anymore.
Simple.
Easy.
Unique to everyone's Lit habitation.

It worked for me..

It counts only if we get to see the panties and make sure that they're new.

Hell if I know. But everyone who posted before me had also been here since 2000 sometime so I figured I was just as "new" as they are! :)

I never really felt like a newbie here. I just started posting. Eventually someone said something about looking for my posts to read them, and I realized I had been here awhile and people knew me. It surprised me at the time.

I just wanted to say that I think Never makes a very good point here. Oh well, if you're gonna swim, you better get in over your head.

I figure that if some of us are undoubtedly newbies, then we all should be, or else we get this hierarchy thing going, and that just sucks.
