LMAO Thwoemn he has been with gave him a little going away present?

No,but I used to have a lamp that had a loose wire if i stomped the floor if would tun off (or on).

We have one.. someplace in a drawer. Never used it..

My aunt bought it for my mother .. thinking that it would be nice for her to use to turn off the lamp when she was ready for bed.

Only problem.. my mom only has use of one hand. It's nearly impossible (ok, it is impossible) for a one handed person to clap.

Wouldn't slapping the night stand work as well as clapping?

If I had a room where the light switch was hard to reach or find, I'd consider the clapper for that room, although I'd probbly opt for a more technophilic solution and install a motion sensor on the light.

my aunt uses hers for the christmas tree lights, so she doesn't have to get back behind it to turn it on and off.

What is the sound of one hand clapping?

Don't look at me like that, you read Salinger way back when, you know you were thinking of it too.

I was semi joking ;)

We have one.. but we don't use it anymore because every little noise would turn the light off or on. The dogs collars rattling, opening the door.. etc. It was a real annoyance.

it's like regular clapping, but way more quiet, and with less rhythm.

I've heard it, because the man was trying to prove a point. Needless to say I don't know what the point was, only that I've heard it.
