I'm gathering from the interminably long press conference on MSNBC that Rosie is ending her association with her magazine cuz someone dissed her and wouldn't let her be the editor.

Or something. Like I said, who cares?

Silly bunt.

I get that magazine.

I like Rosie, she made the magazine fun.

But to be honest,I pretty much dont care.

Huh. Ok I'm not going to say what I'm thinking because she's a very nice woman who does a lot of charity stuff.

Is this a fact or rumor?? I like that magazine...

Actually, I just made it up because I'm out of ideas for threads.

Also I wanted to throw millions of Rosie fans into a deep depression because I have a lot of money invested in pharmaceutical stocks.

‘Rosie’ is the honorable (among woman’s mags) McCalls. Their sales were flagging so they decided to associate themselves with Rosie O’Donnell and they gave her editorial abilities. Now they’re angry because she’s trying to make (gasp) editorial decisions and she’s angry because they won’t let her.

I remember McCalls. Recipies and cleaning tips for the busy mom right?

My guess would be now that she's not doing the talk show anymore she's bored and looking for something to do.

Ya know, I liked some of her movies, she wasn't a bad actress.

I thought she was pretty good in that Tom Hanks baseball flick whateverthefuckitwascalled. Beyond that she's hardly the shiniest spoon in the drawer.

A League of Their Own

I love that movie.
She's funny. Her stand-up routine was better though. She wasn't so... I don't know Sesame Street. I like her. She didn't make such a huge production out of coming out.

hmmm...

I remember when she first came out proclaming that she was gay, and some people called her a "hero" for doing that. How does coming out make you a hero? Many ppl do, their voices aren't heard because they are not celebrities.

IMHO

But that’s not the same thing. Yes, I understand that many people come out and that they are not being seen as heroes.
But that’s a label others have place on her. Not the other way around like a few other comedians have done- *ahem*. From what I understand she never “officially” came out because she never saw it as something she was hiding from anyone. Before she had neither confirmed or denied being gay. She “came out” because she was speaking on behalf of a couple that were about to lose their children.

Rosie O'Donnell is a slob. She was the guest host for a black tie gala at the Helen Hayes Hosptial in NY and showed up wearing a sweatsuit. She is rude to her Rockland County neighbors, especially to those in the town of Upper Nyack. She talks trash about her neighbors and then wonders why they don't treat her neighborly. Blah!

I saw her on "Celebrity Jeopardy" which has the same ball busting questions as Jeopardy for Kids.

She's dumber than a football bat.
