I logged in a few days ago and saw that they had a new front page! It had been the old one for years, and now it's updated!

It looks exciting! Dynamic! It looks like it can be updated and have sitewide news on it! It doesn't look like it escaped from 2006!

A+ update.

I don't see any change when I log on. Either on the story side or the forum side.

No no, just the www.literotica.com page! It's different! Or, maybe I've just not looked at the landing page for so long that it was actually updated months ago, but it sure FEELS new to me.

It's a minor cosmetic update that is still rooted in 1999 web design.

The giant block of news in the middle of the page needs to either go away or to be formatted to be readable.

This is true. OTOH, there is so much baggage in current web design tools, and so many function calls to 3rd-party web code (like Google) bogging down user response (or are invasive), that I don't blame TPTB for one second for sticking to "the old ways".

Their priority as we endure certain site function updates is performance issues related to a huge database of authors, stories, and management thereof. External linkage to gussy-up the site, IMO, work against that goal.

Yeah, it's changed again since I looked last.

Unfortunate.

I was proud they stuck with their roots and resisted change.

For once, I commend their choice. They kept the front page lady and the typical "Lit" feel, yet it still looks much more modern.

Good job, Laurel and Manu!

God, I hope the sky doesn't fall on my head... 🫣
