Who does "The Daily Show" think they're fooling anymore?

I've often wondered about the oh-so-clueless guests that get "interviewed" (and subsequently barb-b-qued) on the Comedy Channel's "Daily Show". They truly appear to think that they're being interviewed by actual journalists. You'd think by now that everyone would be in on the joke, and that there'd be no one left to fool.

They just called me regarding an upcoming media conference I'm attending. I'm going to presenting this new program I'm managing, and they were sniffing around, wondering what the show was, wondering if it would make a good segment. In other words, they're looking for shit to goof on. LOL

I don't think I was sufficiently bizarre enough for them, so I gave them Sparky's phone number, and told them he's the CEO.

lol i dont know if you did that or not ... but it would be very funny i think sparky would actually put them in thier places :)

Hell DCL if I could get exposure on the Daily Show I'd take it in a minute.

Everyone knows they are just clowing around. And a lot of people watch it.

Isn't that the same thing that Tom Green used to do?

Tom just went for the gross joke. "The Daily Show" is much more subtle, and tries to tweak the media. I think it's a good show.

They called again yesterday, and they're interested. It won't really be a whole segment on our show, just a part of a longer segment on a whole lot of shows. It might only be a second or two. Ah, well, I'll play along and let them yank my chain. There's no such thing as bad publicity.
