Do you think you are you asking the right person to help you with this overcare problem? I believe its still open to debate as to my actual level of caring. In fact... seems to me that if I were to help you learn how not to care - wouldn't that in and of itself show that I cared about how exhausted you were from all the caring that you do? That if I were to do so it would only prove that I at least cared enough to help you? I'm not sure that I care that much.
But then again - have you tried thinking of something else when in the middle of caring? You know, take your mind off it. Its a trick guys learn. If you concentrate on something else while in the middle of caring the shit out of someone then you don't care so fast.
