I am related to two people who are historical figures, one being rather famous.

One of them, Stephen Hopkins, governor of Rhode Island, signed the Declaration of Independance. The other was a famous football hero, part of the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame. His first name was Harry. Figure it out for yourself if you care. ;)

So, who are you related to, and if no one, then tell us who would you like to be fucked by tonight?

Remember the story of Moses? Remember Aaron? I'm a direct descendent. He was the first Priest of Righteousness, which is a direct translation of my last name. In the Jewish faith, I'm the closest thing to royalty (being the daughter of a Cohen, and of a Cohen's daughter). So... yeah, if we had all the records, I could trace my family tree straight back to biblical times. Neat, huh?

the guy who owned the ferry that George Washington crossed the Delaware on. *laughing*

also, more notably, in the last several years, some notable military figures.

I have a distant, direct ancester who married Davy Crockett's sister.

wow folks.... very impressive.

Amiss, that is soooo cool. I am impressed. SO, I take it you are NOT sitting on a pile of riches even though you are a princess? :(

My list (yes I am a family history geek)
===========================
Franklin D. Roosevelt - President
Ulysses S. Grant - President/General
Laura Ingalls Wilder - Author
Alan B. Shepard - Astronaut

All 4 above from same family lines, also...

Candy Cummings - Hall of Fame baseball pitcher <--- Doesn't that sound like a porn stars name??

OMG! Candy Cummings.... What a name. ;)

Gunner, that is a very impressive list.

I really want to know now, though... Who do you want to fuck tonight? ;)

Between Roosevelt and Grant, I'd take Roosevelt. Ulysess has too much facial hair.

Pixie will probably recognise the name of my paternal great-uncle Oskari Tokoi, as he was of some importance in Finnish history.

He wrote an autobiography entitled Sisu : Even Through a Stone Wall If you can find (or choose to buy) a copy, there is a picture of me the only time I ever met him in the book.

I don't know of any historical figures, but my halfsisters (my dad's daughters from his first marriage) were bad actresses in the late 80s and early 90s.

i have an old family history that shows lineage back to william the conquerer's 2nd or 3rd daughter grundelda or some such name and then to a long line of british families named de warren and then warren. some of the warrens were supposed to have come over on the mayflower and then many years after that the first guy with my last name came into the picture. i have a feeling that there are a lot of folks that can trace a similar heritage so i've never been too impressed with that.

what i do find kinda neat are my great great great grandfather who was a lieutenant on the northern side of the civil war and my great great grandfather who was a latin scholar and one of the original professors at phillip exeter academy in exeter new hampshire. they both had the same name as me. i have a roman numeral V on the end of my full name. pretty impressed i'll betcha.
:D

From one decended JAP to another, hey there. lol My Grandfather was a Cohen.

On my Dad's side I'm related to Mary Queen of Scotts and all the other Stuarts.

Sad but maybe true. A man on my dads side married an Indian Princess and helped lead the Cherokee's on the "Trail of Tears". I am not sure as to the validity of the details, but it seems he was an operative for the government (at least according to my dads uncles). I cannot swear by it but it has been told to me all my life and for some reason they seemed proud of this. All I can say is yes, I do come from a long line of fucktards. People actually wonder why I am not on speaking terms with most of my family...

My father's family descend from a certain medieval feudal warlord.

My mother's family kind of goes all over the world which is too hard to trace.

On my mother's side...we have published books of geneology and way back on her father's side it has been traced to Queen Elizabeth.

Interesting so do we...when prince Harry has children my name will be right next to theirs on the family tree.

My cousin use to play for the Eagles.

Related to Judge Roy Bean the Hanging King, a self apointed law enforcer/use to be outlaw who was in love with a opera singer that he never once saw.

MY great grandfather founded a city in my county, Shepherdsville Ky.

There are lots...I can't even name them all...I have a huge ass family filled with history.

According to family mythology, we can trace my mothers family back to Attila the Hun. Un huh, sure.

Fathers side, some Spanish landowners who were forced to leave Spain for political reasons. Unfortunately, the story is lost forever, I think. The part of the family that isn't dead isn't speaking to the other side anymore. :(

My 5 greats Uncle Joseph Sturge was made a Marquice (spelling) by the King of England at the time for my Uncles help with the abolition of Slavery in Russia. Also my Uncle went to the USA to help with the abolition of slavery there...

I have a copy of a book and old newspaper/magazine articles that were written about my Uncle and it is uplifting reading.

He trecked across Russia in the middle of winter to talk to the Zar about slavery... maybe that's where I get my balls from in life. :)

The sketched pictures I have of him look just like my mothers brother to a T, amazing through 4 generations and different blood mixtures that they still look the same...

There is a statue of him in Brimingham in England in the middle of the "four cross roads"

My mom's a Cohen, but she married down when she met my dad. :D She still uses Cohen status to get out of dealing with dead things. lol

well, I don't know if there is a direct relation, but I'm decended from the tribe of native americans (Iroquois) that also contains such notables as: Sacajeweya (I know the spelling is way wrong, you know the lady on the $1 gold coin, americans..), Hiawatha, and Pocahontas.
