"“Counsel has found further text messages between (special agent) Impola and Dan indicating Dan should destroy his text messages and instruct Dan to lie and accuse an innocent 3rd party of being a federal agent spy to the founder of Wolverine Watchmen.”

The Watchmen is a militia group whose members are allegedly tied to the kidnap plot.

Hills said Dan told Impola the Watchman founder suspected him of being a federal agent. Dan said someone else vouched for him.

Hills provided a transcript in which the FBI agent allegedly said: “Copy. Best thing to do is deny and accuse somebody else like Trent.”

Hills said the FBI agent also wrote: “Be sure to delete these.”

A plot to assassinate a U.S. governor--any U.S. governor at all, regardless of party--is an attack on American society whether you are a Democrat or a Republican. To support the plotters is to be a seditionist yourself.

And if it turns out half the guys in on the plot, and who started the plot, are FBI agents, what do we do then?

It's a local in state news source. Perhaps you'd like to dispute the facts quoted in the article.

He and Bobomonkey are neither Republicans or Dems.... authoritarian facism are what they are about.

You prosecute them, of course. Was this a trick question? Or just stupid. The president of the United States plotted against his own government and tried to accomplish a coup. Why would anyone give a pass for anyone inside the FBI for doing the same?

You are supporting coupists--seditionists who have tried to undermine and overthrow our political system. Shame on you.

I was suggesting that without the FBI's assistance, this "plot" with the remaining boobs who were arrested would never have even gotten to the planning stages.

Will has no clue what authoritarian fascism is or how to spell it.

You are speculating on just a claim in order to deflect from what is known and have been called on that with a logical "investigate and prosecute if there's anything there." And, on the basis of deflecting supposition, you are squirming around like the worm you are. Enjoy the dangle. You fool nobody.

I believe the correct term is 'entrapment.' It's a tool used by corrupt law enforcement officers.
