RawHumor said:So, am I the only one who's looking forward to the Spiderman movie?
I've deliberately not watched any reviews or previews of it just so I don't go into it with some idea of what to expect.
glamorilla said:Actually me too. Seeing as how movies based on Marvel comics generally suck big time i wasn't really looking foward to this...I downloaded a trailer of the movie like six months ago...the one that was reworked becouse it had a scene with the WTC in it but the trailer opens very slow...in fact I found myself thinking "Oh God...here we go again more crap" and then that "Let me take you on a ride " song kicked in and right here in front of my computer i started shouting out "Spider Man! That's Spider-Man!".
glamorilla said:You should keep your eyes peeled for "The Specials"...its a low budget movie airing on the Sci-Fi channel kind of in vein with "Mystery men" only a million times better.
Yes a million.

Batman '89 was a good movie when I was 10. But he wasn't Batman, that Batman wasn't Batman. Burton 'reimagined' it just like POTA. The problems with his Batman run sooo deep. Even forgetting the fact that he killed. Twice.
Was cool to see the real Joker hiding in the belfry at the end, though. Easier to see on the DVD.

Actually Burtons vision of Batman was much more in step with what creator Bob kane wanted for the character. Batman is supposed to be a dark, brooding obsessed with punishing criminals over the death of his parents. One of if not the best comics to screen translations made. The only "flaw' in the movie was it was re-worked so the Joker...Jack..was the Waynes murderer instead of small time hood Joe Chill. everything else was exactly as it should be.

Debatable. In the belfy fight, shortly after Bats punches Joker in the face knocking him back through the little wooden fence thing. The shot widens and behind him, you can see through the arch-shaped open windows, and if you freeze frame and go in slow-motion, you can see what appears to be another Joker standing on the stone ledge, inching back from the screen...
