Biden was speaking in Massachusetts to announce $2.3 billion in new funding to combat global warming when he added the startling admission.

"Guess what? The first frost, you know what was happening? You had to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window," he said, referring to air pollution during his childhood.

"That's why I and so damn many other people I grew up [with] have cancer," Biden added. "For the longest time, Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation, but that's the past."

A recent poll found that a large majority of Democrats do not want Biden to run for the presidency again in 2024. Among the top concerns for them are his age and his job performance.

I read somewhere that the WH released medical records showing that he had non-melanoma form of skin cancer. Probably basil cell carcinoma which is extremely common and rarely if ever life threatening. Doesn’t metastasize, is slow growing, and easy to treat with an outpatient procedure. So not a gaffe this time. Just a bit misleading since we typically associate the word “cancer” with serious shit.

Living with cancer can mean a close family member had it too. We've all heard the expression before.
