White Dudes- NOLA

I was trying to find out if the white dude in this video was going to be okay.

Turns out both these white dudes were in NOLA for a conference, they are Unitarian Universalist from Boston.

I hope they enjoyed their cultural enrichment vacation in NOLA.

They walked with the Lord to shelter and protect them and would have been better off with Smith and Wesson. There is a lesson in that.

Fucking animals. Agreed on the situational awareness.

I recall my first visit there, around 1996. I was walking down a quiet block, suddenly felt weird then crossed the street quickly to make a retreat. I don't recall why I reacted that way, but NOLA is a crime ridden shit hole and one should be on their toes at all times. I was probably right about my high alert, but it costs me nothing but time to be wrong. These poor bastards clearly did not note the change in footfall sounds when feet go from walking to sprinting. I recall that very thing once in the east village, then spun around to see a couple of guys sprinting with guns. (had nothing to do with me, but scared the shit out of me.) NOLA is a dump, if you have no situational awareness, or go get really drunk there (a strong possibility, local criminals know people go there to drink) stick with cabs.

Not victim blaming, just a dose of reality. Predators gonna prey

It's no big surprise to see that it's black people sucker punching and robbing people. They are just a bunch of cowards who prey in packs.

Well.

I don't live there but I did not know there was a "Safe" place in the French Quarter !

That's why I put safe in quotations.
But yeah, the city police patrol the FQ, and I don't think I've ever not seen a cop on Bourbon St. Just a few blocks east of the FQ is a ghetto war zone.

Those guys got robbed on the SW perimeter of the FQ, which is (was?) a nice place.

The first time I visitted the States after many years of absence, I was living in NZ.

Just an example of what living in NZ (Auckland excluded) looked like: I once forgot my wallet with A Lot of money inside on a bench in front of a local airport, and half an hour later it was still there.

My friends were busy, so I asked them not to meet me at the airport cause I'll take the Greyhound or Aemtrak. I couldn't understand their horrified reaction u til I learned that someone had just shot some people the other day.

I managed to live the New Orleans, french quarter bit before it becomes so horrible.

I got picked up, but not by black dudes

A compassionate society protects good people and punishes evil. Evil people should live in fear of good people. The merciful thing to do in this situation is to let a big white CO smash that man's face into the concrete floor of his cell and let him lie in a pool of his own blood for a half hour or so. Stream it so the other evil one's see what happens. They need to know that what they do to others will be done to them. They need to know that these cowardly attacks are not worth it. Good people going about their business should never fear a cowardly attack like this in a compassionate society.

You did the right thing. Situational awareness begins as soon as you step out of your car or walk out the door. You take in your surroundings at a glance and though you might be having a nice walk down the street you didn't leave your instincts or reflexes behiind. You can't be in a bad part of town and not be ready for anything.:)
