It was Obama who spent 8 years dwindling down and trying to demilitarize America's defenses, not Trump. It's really China we should worry about, if it bothers you. China is, supposedly, achieving dominance in space over all of us. Weaponizing it. But considering how inferior their cheap crap is that fails consistently, especially anything made of metal, I'm not too worried about it. It's their thinking process that is bold.

More's the pity. We do not need to spend more on defense than the next ten biggest spenders combined. We do not need the mightiest military establishment in human history. We do not need a global military presence. We do not need global military hegemony. We do not need an empire. The FFs would weep.

China is invested in the success of USA.

Russia's military spending is in 3rd.

My mutual fund is 22% European investments. Biggest loss was bank failures. Then Greece crisis. Europe unsteady is not good for my investments. Gain 11% a year if all is good. Lost 8% during Greek crisis.

The EU has a pop. of 500 million. Hard for a bloc like that to become less relevant. Brexit not withstanding, the election of middle of the road politicians including probably Germany means the EU is not about to break up anytime soon.
