Which Room is Your Favorite?

In my house, it's my bedroom. Not necessarily for reasons some of you might think. I have spent a long time making my room a peaceful place for me. For my alone and quiet time. Ok, and it's inviting for guests on those rare occasions.

I have my favorite old chair in there. I love to sit in that chair and read. I have my own little make shift office in my bedroom. Often that is where I will write. I have my stereo, and a TV (though the TV is rarely on).

What makes it even a more pleasant place is, my decor is all in Moons, Stars & the Sun. Surrounded by endless amounts of candles and various pieces of my own art work hang on the walls. It is peaceful....

My family room.

It's got the fireplace, and the beat up sofas, and the old coffee table from the beach. It seems to get natural light all day.

Mine is our Guest Room. It's a small room and I painted it a gorgeous shade of gold. It's such a cozy room and I love to hide out in there and sneak in a nap whenever I can.

Well...it used to be the kitchen...but this one is too small to fit a table...so, I'd have to say the bedroom...

My bedroom is becoming my favorite place. I just moved so it still has a bit of work to go. I have a big chair to one side of the room, perfect for reading anything I choose. The bed could be a tad bigger but since it is all mine...I can take up the whole thing without a concern for my feet hanging off. I have lace curtains separating me from another room which I love to watch dance when the ceiling fan is on. There is a door in the corner of the room right next to what is actually my front door. This door leads out to my balcony. This is the best feature of all. I can meditate out there, just sip my tea, or watch a lightning storm (which I did last night).

Yup, its got to be my bedroom. Though once my kitchen is done that may be a close runner up...it's got two walkin pantries.

Isn't it wonderful? That is why I love my bedroom so much, no conflicts whatsoever. It's also the one place in my house, I can call my very own.

I love to cook; I think of my grandma in the kitchen; sitting around the kitchen table, discussing politics or gossip or recipes or nearly anything is the perfect way to linger over a meal.

Home is where the hearth is.

My bedroom and bathroom. They are the only places in my house that I can retreat to for quiet and alone time. We redecorated both and I just love the feeling I get when I walk into either.
