Do you enjoy the most when it gets favourited or commented (positively) on? While the Alexaverse is certainly my flagship story and series, the one that pleases me most is either Time Rider, or The Great Khan. One is in H/S, and the other is in Novels. So when they get attention, I appreciate it.

What about y'all? When the readers show TLC, which story of your do you appreciate it most for?

I've got a special affection for my first Floating World story, and the earlier Rope and Veil three-parter.

"Detective's Gangbang, Town Secret"

It has a low rating, because I think it's mildly reluctant in the Group catagory, but it's one of my favorites.

It's based on Bruce Morgan's The Schoolteacher comic.

My fourteen part "Mrs. Cheng Pays the Debt" Not only is just about every part rated hot but the heroine is also based on an old girlfriend -- the proverbial one that got away. I loved her to bits she could not step over the racial divide to fully commit to me. I still ache!

To be honest I get a thrill whenever any of my stories get favourited - there is a sense of a job well done that someone liked it enough to come back to it.

However I do get a buzz when it is one of the ones that are struggling to get read and votes - such as Alisha, Queen of my heart and any of the Storm Warning series.

I tried to come up with an answer to the question, but I can't. I appreciate all the comments to all the stories.

Nice comments for BTB, Incorporated are a pleasure in a way, because that story, which involves cuckoldry, has received by far the most negative comments. So a nice comment is a welcome change.

My second story, In The Hallway, probably narrates the most interesting and well-developed relationship of any of my stories, so I appreciate when that story gets a nice comment.

All of them, really, but, the answer would be The Mom Next Door.

I enjoyed writing it, not just for the work itself but the circumstances of writing. It ain't literature but it makes me smile.

Part eight of my Fantasy Man series, which has the least amount of sex and most amount of emotional impact. I wasn't sure how that was going to land with readers but I really liked it, and I'm glad to know when they do too.

Also, not a lot of people read Final Man, so it's always nice when someone stumbles across that one and likes it.

Any chapter of Siblings With Benefits which was the first thing I wrote and was a long train wreck of depression, and unlike any other taboo series on lit...which is why it's scores were good, but on few votes because most people bailed early.

Also, That Damned Red Dress a father/daughter story written to as a borderline anti-incest story as there was nothing sexy about it, it was sacrifice not lust.

I like seeing comments on those because they're an acquired taste and not everyone 'gets' them. Anyone can write "mom's hot, why not?" but those stories had a lot behind them.

Do you enjoy the most when it gets favourited or commented (positively) on? ... which story of your do you appreciate it most for?

Strange Hunger is by far my most naturalistic story, and I have to admit that -- although I appreciate positive commentary and feedback on any story -- positive responses to that story make me extra-happy.

It depends on what the feedback is about. It always means more when the reader understands and appreciates what I was trying to do with the story.

But so far, "Red Scarf" is the most personal thing I've written, so that's maybe the one where I appreciate that understanding the most.

How do you pick a favorite of your children?

In my opinion, my best written to date is "Summer Camp." I suppose my favorite story is "The Tilson's Got Killed -- A Downtown Tony Brown Erotic Mystery." Because I think it is well written and I fell in love with the character.

I am writing the 2nd one now. Up to 12,000 words and just now plotting out the mystery.

Small Sampling

The majority of my written works are on other sites. So, if any of my short pieces here get a shred of positive interest, it is appreciated.

Nice comments or favorites on any of my stories gives me a smile. I love it when In the Arms of the Succubus gets a favorite, it's only had two comments, very brief ones. However, they were very nice comments. In the Arms of the Succubus is one of my all time favorites. As far as I know my only story to have its own Wikipedia page. It's hosted at something called Succubus net, not much there about it, last time I looked a review of the story has never been posted.

I'm hoping, over time, The Case of the Rich Man's Wife and Written in Blood will receive more comments. What they have are complimentary (for the most part), and sometimes I just open up the comments on them and read them for my pleasure.

Does this all make me a vain person, I don't know.

I know it sounds weak, but this is exactly how I feel. I just started writing, and I know I've got plenty to learn, so it feels like anytime someone favorites or leaves a comment, it gives me considerable satisfaction. I have read so many incredibly erotic stories here, if a reader thinks enough of my content to take that extra time..

Yeah, big thrill for me as well.

I only have one story left up on the site, so it's The Man In The Woods. I don't hear much about it these days, but I used to get a lot of positive responses. Had it picked up for an anthology and I think that drove some of that attention as well.

My other stories I had up here had to be taken down. I was writing one where I was going to add a chapter a week, but then I started getting paid to write something else and it just fizzled. If I ever finish it I'll post the whole thing, but it's probably dead in the water.

Rescuing a Snow Angel - My favorite writings

I favor my seven part series 'Rescuing a Snow Angel' the most. The main character carries a lot of previous military angst and war baggage. Some of the scenes and sentiments had my eyes brimming over at moments as I wrote them. The kind words in the comments were like ointment to heal old wounds.

The scores range from 4.51 to 4.76
averaging 4.62 for the series

Nice to be appreciated

Any of my stories which include a male protagonist dealing with his bisexuality. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea - so that's probably why I like seeing positive comments. I have several - so any of those.

Rod Adventures Ch.04

For me it is the above chapter. This was my early writing days in Lit where in AH I had a good thread discussion on two character conversations where the actual thoughts from each for the same conversation are very different, and that thinking important enough for the early part of this, my first series.

Popular opinion was to have this in one story part but I really wanted to write it over two. Chapter 2 and Chapter 4 with an intervening chapter 3 set timing wise after the conversation in chapter 2 from only one character’s perspective, that of the male Dom.

I think the reception to part 4, my first H, is due to the fact that rather than readers being put off by hearing the same conversation - the impact of hearing the hidden thoughts from the second character female sub character is what had the impact.

I don’t think it’s a device as such that might always work but it suited this particular start to the story and satisfying in finding my feet with writing for Lit.

Brutal One.

Most of my stories are just smut and drivel. But in one of them, I really tried for some subtlety, with one lover talking to another through a date and sex, and the other's replies just being implied. A deeper truth is eventually revealed, hidden beneath the surface words being spoken. I also tried to write it so that each of the characters are of undetermined gender. I probably grossly overreached my meagre level of talent, so I find it especially gratifying when someone "gets" that story.

My series, The Jenna Arrangement, is my "flagship" series and my personal favorite to write. So I'm always happy to receive a positive comment or review because it's nice to know others are enjoying it.

But I'm happy to get comments on any of my stories really. They don't happen often, so when they do it's a more personal confirmation that people are reading them than just ratings or views numbers.

As others have stated, I appreciate feedback on any of my stories, but the ones I receive for a single submission story seem to be of the greatest value.

Comments on chapters or parts frequently find readers making comments that hold little or no relevance to the direction the story will eventually go. Wild-ass guesses about what a character or plot direction will be are of no value since the story is complete before I submitted the first chapter or part.

Comments which indicate that the reader commenting lacks comprehension of something in the story are especially useful since they force me to reflect upon the clarity of my writing and how well I did in 'painting the picture'.
