Which of your stories would you like to be a character in?

The best stories are the ones which turn us writers on just as much as our readers, so with that in mind which of your stories would you most like to be a character in?

For me it's easy - as an exhibitionist who used to love getting naked in public (until I got caught one too many times, that is), I would love to be one of the girls in my story 'A Box of Tricks'.

They find an old magical box that can erase people's minds, which means that they're free to go running around naked in public to their hearts content, as whenever they're caught they just make people forget about it.

For a show off like me that would be a dream come true - but what about you?

Finding What's Real. It's a novella so it's had few reads, but I want Vinnie all to myself. Oh, who am I kidding. I'd be a third in their relationship. Maybe I should write myself in...šŸ˜œ

That's easy for me, because I was a character, sort of, in my story Exposing Lisa, acting under my Simon alter ego. That would be my pick.

I love my Geek Pride stories more than anything else I've ever written, closely followed by my WaWW story so it would be

1. Stefan Hanover of A New Green Man Appears

2. Pommeraie de la Montesquieu Stein (Nick or Porter) of Enchantress (due out in Mid May)

3. Don Campbell of We're a Wonderful Wife

I'm already a character in many of my stories. I suppose I wouldn't mind being Sam in Ship's Whore, though. Get to see the outer planets and the galaxy beyond...

A 20-years-younger version of me is the MMC in my series and a few of my other works. I gather that particular POV is common around here in first-person stories.

For a change it would be fun to be a Rakshasa from Hindu mythology. Much simpler life.

I actually wrote myself into my Mary and Alvin series.

Alvin was really my attempt to write a man who was what I thought a loving, supportive partner should be like. I walked a line between keeping him realistic, and allowing him to be, in many way, my ideal.

He had a nephew who was described by other characters as being a younger version of him. So, I created a new character, Jessica (irl, I have a cousin Jessica, and people often mistake us for each other) and had them hook up.

Mmmm... I have one series here on Literotica, and I can safely say I would absolutely hate to exist in that world.

There's a fantastic fantasy faerie-realm group collaboration I'm involved with offsite, though, I would kill to exist in that world. It's so ethereal and beautifully written, every scene is amazing, and most of the connections are so helplessly romantic I'm happy for days after devoting my time to writing among them. I guess that's my young heart still craving magic.

Most of my stories feature intelligent snarky polyamorous kinky bisexuals being mostly kind and supportive to each other. I'd fit right in. There's often a character slightly based on me.

The main exception is my one erotic Horror story: I wouldn't want to be in Londoner Calling, where a hellbeing feeds on the intense (eg sexual) thoughts of humans and leaves them as gormless idiots.

I'm in most of mine already, either as an incarnation of the younger me, or a fantasy projection of the older me. Reality weaves in and out, mostly out, but since it's erotic fantasy, me being in it is part of the point. I can't see the point of writing hypothetical men - although Dan in When It's Safe to Die was a fun character to write.

Not sure it is a clear cut answer for me. All have pros and none are without cons. And really the question becomes which MMC would I rather be and which FMC would I rather pair with. Overall, probably the MMC in The Consanguine Honeytrap, which is an interesting choice because he lacks much and gets taken away more, yet he will end up gaining an important relationship, and not just romantically, in the end.

Mama's Beach House is a best friend's mom story that is my oldest fantasy. The story is based on a mom I fantasized about as a young fella. Thanks to the wonders of social media, I am still friends with her, many, many years later, though strangely enough not her son. Writing the story was a joy and my MC behaved with her just as I would have. Yep, I'd jump into Jake's shoes any day.

One story that I really wanted to be in was 'Banging Cousin Becky In Blackpool'. Even though I'm not from England (I'm Australian), have never been to Blackpool and the 1955 setting of the story was many years before I was born, I felt an odd sense of nostalgia writing it and reading it after it was posted, and really wanted to step into the computer screen and be a part of all the fun of a summer holiday in Blackpool in its post-war heyday of the 1950s, if this makes any sense.

I wrote the story in the second half of 2020, and I think that we had been in lockdown for months and months on end that may have made me wish for fun simpler times so long ago, rather than the awful reality of 2020.

Name checks out.

"Dramatic License" is as close to autobiographical as I'm comfortable sharing. Of my other stories, "Express Delivery" is the one I'd love to take part in. The rest has usually a bit too much crap for the MC to deal with :)

Having just got back from Wells, Somerset and having Hot and Fuzzy set in Wells, Somerset Iā€™d say Hot and Fuzzy for that reason.

I'm in almost everything I've written as who I really am or who I'd like to be.

Most of my male leads are a lot like me anyway. I'd gladly be any of them!
