which is the bigger celebration for you americans...

Let's see...celebrating the beginning of destroying the American Indian Race, spending garish amounts of cash celebrating the birth of a fictitious mini God, or getting drunk to celebrate surviving another year.

Actually surviving also applies to Thanksgiving.

I'm going with the mini God.
 
Thanksgiving for eating, Christmas for shopping, NYE for drinking. We excel at all of them.
 
I enjoy Christmas more because it starts off with a slow build up but then finishes in a feverish climax of all kinds of good.
 
over here, it seems more food/family/gifts at xmas, and more booze/parties at new year. with both so close together, there's a feeling of oh my lord, enough! for many people, so i was wondering if people went big on all three and, if so, do you all feel like burnt turkeys by the time it's all done?
