The Far Side is by far the best cartoon EVER. Hands down, it rules. Dilbert is good, and is definitely *A* favorite, but The Far Side will never be surpassed.

Far Side stuff is on a much more cerebral plane than Dilbert. Besides Dilbert's having his readers submit ideas. Gary Larson was an absolute genius when it came to his takes on animals, society, cows, stereotypes, geeky kids, aliens, etc..

Not even a fair comparison.

Besides the Far Side picked on every subject. Dilbert only focused on his microscopic cast of characters in a cubicle world. Nothing was deemed too sacred in the Far Side.
