I have an idea for a story inspired by this commercial, but I'm not sure what category it'd go in.

My immediate though was that it'd be fanfiction, but I'm not sure it really counts, since I'm making up the story myself, and the characterization will be mostly original. Not to mention, I don't believe anyone would recognize it if I put it in fanfic.

My next thought would be Fetish, since it's about furries. Except there are plenty of furry stories that aren't in the Fetish section, suggesting that they don't have to be in there. Also, I don't think of it as a fetish story.

So, where does it go?

Definitely fetish. As you said, most people wouldn't know the fan-fiction aspect of it. Other categories might be technically correct, ie. "erotic couplings", "sci-fi/fantasy", etc, but fetish is more accurate than those others, even if it is a pretty broad category. I thought there was an actual furry/non-human category, but after checking I realized there wasn't. I could have sworn there was one.
