I started writing an age play story, but I have no idea what I should categorize it as. It's a daddy/daughter story with regular sex and discipline spanking. They are both adults and not related to each other (not a real incest story).

So, is it BDSM because of the dominant/submissive and physical punishment aspects? Or does it belong in the incest category because of the daddy/daughter plot? Or does it belong in any other?

Thanks

Pick which you best think it is and the editor will switch it if she doesn't agree. (I think they'd pick Incest, though.)

Fetish seems to make the most sense to me. That's what the daddy/daughter roleplay is.

It's not real incest, so you'll get slammed by many in that category. I think you'd probably receive the same treatment in BDSM. Erotic Couplings is a possibility, but that's a middle of the road category where anything 1on1 that is otherwise undefineable ends up. Readers tend to shy away from it because they have no idea what they're going to find.

Fetish has a bit of the same problem, as many fetishes are lumped together. On the other hand, everybody coming there is looking for something kinky, and this certainly qualifies. It also tends to draw more views and votes than EC.

If it was me, I'd absolutely go with Fetish.

On another note: You have to be real careful with age play. Cut out all context from the rest of the story, leaving only the sex. If you can't absolutely tell that the "daughter" is 18+ in reality, despite how she's acting in the sex scenes, it could very well get rejected for the underage rule. Doesn't matter if the rest of the story says she's 25 over and over again. You're going to need to get inside somebody's head during the sex scenes and iterate that it's role-play, and that the woman is of age.

It breaks the illusion of the scene, but it's necessary. I've seen umpteen complaints about rejections on these grounds. If you bite the bullet and break the illusion for a line or two, it will go through.

Besides, the characters are getting off on the age play. You really should get in their heads and show that, shouldn't you :)

I think the incest element would trump any other.

Sorry, my mistake. I missed the "not related" part of your post -- that's what I get for reading too quickly.

I'd say Fetish or Erotic Couplings, although I'd go with Dark's analysis for why Fetish fits better.

Even if they are 'role playing' Daddy daughter and it's not real I think the site may land it in incest because I imagine there will be things like "be a good little girl and suck your daddy's cock"

Just like stories that appear to be hardcore rape stories but in the end you find out it was a game between lovers will always land in non consent it's what the story 'appears' to be that they will pick up on.

Thanks, all!

Darkniciad, thank you for the advice. I'll be sure to sacrifice a few sentences to explain that the "daughter" is over 18.

One last thing: You should probably add a note to the "notes" section of the submission, stating that the story contains age roleplay. The submissions are on speed read ( by necessity, in order to approve so many stories a day ) and if you don't put that warning in, even breaking the illusion may get missed.

Adding the note ensures that the moderator knows it's there, so it won't get a knee-jerk rejection while speed reading.

Any time you're pushing at the edge of a rule boundary, it's a good idea to add a note to the "notes" section. It will save you many a knee-jerk, erroneous rejection.

There might be a rule against a pretend child even. If the woman is pretending to be a little girl, and is wearing Brownie Scout uniforms and carrying dolls, etc. it may be rejected because of that. That happened to me when I wrote about a twenty year old woman who was pretending to be about eight years old. She got into the shower with her father and sucked him off. It was rejected because of the age play, so I deleted that, and it was accepted. They did change the name slightly, though.

ETA: As for the category, I would say fetish, because the spanking is part of the age play, rather than an enhancement of sex in itself.

Nope. I have a chapter that's been approved twice ( edited it for some word choice ) which has exactly this sort of young age play. I pointed it out in a moderator note both times, so it certainly couldn't have skipped by without notice.

The key was what I said about getting into the "young" character's head a couple of times during the scene, not only showing how she was getting off on it, but reiterating that she was older than 18 while the sexual elements were in progress.

If you can take the sex scene out of the story and read it as underage, it's probably going to get rejected. If that's not possible, then you're probably fine.

I would say EC. Or maybe Mature if there is a significant age-gap between them (like there often is with age-play stories)
