Which category takes precedence?

I have a story in mind which has considerable elements of the following categories

1. Mature
2. First Time
3. Non-consent
4. Anal

The problem is it cant be in more than one.

Which category among these supersedes the others?

Without any context of the story, Non-Con is the trump card.

It's the most likely to offend the readership of the other categories, and the most likely content to cause Laurel to change the category.

Yes. ^This is how I've decided in the past. Not because I fear my stories being re-categorized, but because offending readers is not my primary objective.

That really explains one of my stories. It was changed from first-time to nonconsent, and I never understood that. She does like it, she really does, and she is willing pretty much from the beginning. She's just a little nervous, and I guess that counted as reluctance.

Out of all the choices non con would carry the most "offensive" elements so that is where I would go.

However that is still an issue because if it isn't "pure" non con they will get upset.

They are not really happy over there with much short of rape.

Seeing you normally write incest I will use the example of writing an incest story featuring steps or in laws. The purists will be pissed. So goes if there is not sufficient non consent in that section.

Overall mature gets more views and votes by far of those three. I think mature would be the most fitting as well especially if it is older taking the virginity of a younger person. They love that over there.

I'm with Love-ster on this; go with mature. The anal readership is stingy with its vote scores. The very top of the all-time list floats in the 4.7's. They're also pretty difficult to satisfy in terms of content. You need to put on a tuckus-violating bonanza before they're happy.

(and I believe you're correct and you can tell it most of the time because of how they write stuff and the nonsensical BS they produce. That why most of those stories belong in the humor category.)

I agree and it is also read mostly by men. Same appears true over in GM, female writers, female readers.

And you know that it's mostly women in GM because a lot of the guys are terrified of losing their virginiy

kidding, but as a basic rule of thumb in GM, if the story spends more then a paragraph on how a man feels, then it's likely written by a woman. I suppose that if more men read it that some of us would get called out, but when most of the readership is women, the penis-envy stories get the highest votes and views.

PS a major exception is the work by Robcub32. He is a man, and his stories are some of the most popular in the category.

I'd say Mature as well. The other elements are perfectly welcome in the category, and it has the largest readership as well. The other two category choices are much more narrow in their focus, which limits your range to explore the story.
