The strongest taboo is always the one that win. An anal non-consent story is non-con. Lesbian sisters going at it is Incest. A brother and sister having sex in public is Incest.
So basically Mind-Control, Non-Con and Incest in that order beat everything; people not into those won't like any story involving them. If there's none of these then you'd probably have BDSM come next. People in general tend to be less turned off by exhibitionism for example than they could be by the slave/master/bondage thing.
Then I'd probably go with fetish if there's anything strange. If there isn't I'd go with exhibitionism, followed by gay/lesbians.
So basically I'd go Mind Control > Non-Con > Incest > BDSM > Fetish > Exhibitionism > Gay/Lesbian. Although the couple last ones are more interchangeable.

Why is "Mind Control" first? And I have to disagree with where you put the Gay/Lesbian. Readers from Incest to Non-Con expect all those cats to be hetero. Honestly, they get royally pissed if those stories turn out to be gay/lesbian, especially gay male. So I'm afraid that G/L ranks far, far higher on the list. Read the G/L categories and you'll find that they pretty much contain their own list of all the other categories: BDSM, Non-Con, incest, etc. This is especially true of gay male.
But if you read through Non-Con, Incest, etc. you'll rarely see any gay male sex; just hetero and lesbian, very much like what you see in most porn movies.
I'd rate them as follows: Gay>Non-Con>Incest>Lesbian>Mind Control>BDSM>Fetish>Exhibitionism.

Classification is a bugger! I've got one in the works that I originally thought was non-con but my editer says is probably Romance and Varian thinks is either Erotic Couplings or Group. One I posted in Interracial got heavily bombed at first and I think that is because it implies the possibility of gay in the future. On the other hand, it also had strap-ons (but no clowns) so that may have been a problem. And if you want lots of feedback, write something for Loving Wives.
