Heart's blood red? The heart has nothing to do with blood color. Do you want arterial red or venous red? Arterial red is brighter because it's oxygenated. Venous red is darker because it's oxygen depleted. I forget whether or not the blood moving through the heart is arterial, venous, or both. Health class covering the subject was about 20 years ago.
