In manattan we have about 40.

The Phoenix is a bit of a neighborhood place in the east village~pretty much the hub of gay life here. Kinda dark and "alternative" in flavor the jukebox is kickass and its the kind of place everyone knows your name.

Splah in Chelsea is touted as the "quintessential gay bar" with several dance floors and go go boys every night.

depends on my mood.

I miss Twilo.

fiercely.

Sugar babies too.

Well, I used to like Marchella's in Rochester. It was more a drag club though, and I think I saw more straight people than queers there. I believe it's closed now, and I know for a fact that a couple of the Queens who performed there are now living somewhere in Manhattan. (Pandora's Box, is one, and I adored her)

I'm sure there are a bangload in San Francisco, but 1.5 hours is kind of far to drive just to club hop, but I'm hoping I'll meet up with some people who'll drag me along once or twice. I hate girlbars though. Gay men and Queens are more fun. I'm weird like that.

I've lived in a bunch of different places and oddly enough at least three of them had gay bars called Angles.

I haven't been to a gay bar in years! I live in a small conservative town now, and have no idea if one even exists near me. One of my favorite gay bars I would frequent many years ago is called "Oz" located in, Orange County California. Not sure if it exists anymore. It was my favorite spot for dancing, and the most unique crowd of people you can imagine. Fondly remember, that is where I learned to first ever pole dance.

Machine, ManRay, and Vapor in Boston

I've been to Machine, and to Vapor, back when it was called Chaps.

In Portland there are two men's bars, The Underground, and Blackstones, and a women's bar called (duh) Sisters.

There are a ton of gay bars in Ogunquit, but most are dead except in the summer time during tourist season.

HAH! That made me remember a bar called "Mothers" where one of my old co-workers worked the door on the weekend, but it was just general gayness. :D

At least a couple of dozen in the Detroit area, here's a few-

Detroit Eagle: leather and denim crowd

Rainbow Room: mixed crowd, good drag shows

Sugarbakers: dyke/jock bar

The Male Box: hot go-go boys!

Menjos: Old style disco, this is where Madonna started out

Numbers: open after hours

Q: The trendy place right now

Diamond Jims: Bears

My favorite now is probably Liquid Ladies, the lesbian night at Apex in DC. I will always have a fond spot in my heart for Hung Jury, because it was the first club I went to (I had a fake ID when I was 17 that said I was 18).

Daddy lives very near Rawhide in NYC, and I have to admit I am damn curious about it! The music is always pulsing out to the street....

I've got my own gay bar! And it's the trendy place to be!:D

I am a NYC transplant turned small town girl at heart....I used to think the clit club and Twilo were it, and now my tastes have changed.

My favorite gay bar is this dive up the street. When Dubya stole his election, my friend Alison and I had a beer and cried in it alongside some dear old queen who you know had had his beer there every night for the last 60 years. I have dubbed it "the Gay Cheers"

They play erasure and depeche mode and darts and pool.

The bar in question is the 19 bar in Minneapolis.

Hey, didn't I google up a whole list of them for you on the other board a couple of weeks ago?

If you did, I missed them. I'll find it, Q. Thanks!
