I think speeches like this fuels Harris' supporters. They want an alternative to the constant "doom 'n gloom" that the 34 time convicted felon preaches. The "ONLY *I* CAN FIX THIS!" schtick is threadbare and worn.

It makes no sense because federal government really can't do anything about childcare. He may know and doesn't want to admit that, or he may be fumbling for an answer that doesn't exist. Childcare is a family and community issue. Communities that don't find ways to take care of their kids are first in line to self-destruct.
