It was a typical morning, I was doing laundry. I look back at that now and wonder at the absurdity of it all. I was folding towels, listening to a CD when the phone rang, it was my mother, she was frantic. You see I live only a few miles from an army post and my husband is a soldier. I turned on the TV just in time to watch as the first building fell down. I still wake at night with that image in my head. I cried for days. I cried for the spouses who will never see thier loved ones again, I cried for the childern who lost parents, I cried for the mothers and fathers who lost children, I cried for the unborn babys who would never see thier fathers. Then along with countless others I did what I could to help, I sent what I could to feed rescue workers, and gave blood too save a life here and there. It brought back such memories to see the destruction, in 1995 when the federal building in Oklahoma city was bombed it was the same, I did what I could to help, and what I could to help friends deal with thier loss, then I dealt with mine. My fondest hope is that one day we as a nation, and we as a species will learn to live togather. If I could tell Osama one thing it would be to look at what he has done, not only to our country, but to his as well. He says he wants to save his people but his actions have done nothing but bring destruction to the ones that follow him. Maybe one day he and others like him will stop hurting the innocent, let us all prey to what ever diety we will for that day to come very soon.:rose:
