Where to Post?

I am a long time reader, but soon to be first time writer here at Literotica.

I have no problem with my subject matter, the question I have concerns which category to put it under.

Briefly, I won't be writing your typical fantasy story. The best way to describe what I want to write is to say I plan to write a series of stories that are somewhat a autobiography of my sex life. It won't be as hard core or vivid as many stories I read, but certainly will have sexual situations and acts within it.

My first post is in cue for the "fetish" thread simply because it is a discussion of my panty fetish. However, I see there is a section for novels and some other sections as well.

Really it won't be a novel, because it won't follow a chronological order per say. However, it will flow in terms of one story will pick up on a subject the other one leaves off on. Think it of a journal of PantyLisa's sex life, and fantasies, so to speak.

That's a question I've had lately as a story I'm writing is getting longer. I've looked at several popular author's and some have used the novella section and other's have used 12+ chapters in erotic couplings (for example). I'm thinking to get more readership I'll put it in erotic couplings.

One way to do it, Panty, putting each chapter in whatever category it fits best, like mj said. Might lose some readers on some chapters, but they'd know what to expect. if you chose novellas, you could put an author's note about waht to expect.

Firstly, novels/novellas get low reads/votes so - especially as a newbie writer - I would suggest avoiding that category.

You get lots of head-scratching here about where to post, but I think it's fairly simple. Ask yourself who do you want to read your story. Do you want to keep readers with you or reach out to a different audience.

I've seen panty fetish in incest, mature, erotic couplings, BDSM, t/s, oh! - even fetish. It depends on what is the driving force behind your story.

From what I've seen, readers will follow you from category to category - as long as you don't go too extreme.

Well, I can guarantee you will see nothing of mine eve in incest. Ewwww. I have some simple rules about sexual activity- it should involve consenting, non-related, human adults. Whatever goes on behind closed doors that follows those rules is fine with me- even if I might not be into it. But incest? I don't get it.

I agree totally with you and so does the site. Incest/taboo here is a complete fantasy world, full of consenting, human adults. As someone who still doesn't want to imagine her parents 'doing it' I understand. But I assure you there is no underage or forced sex here.

Try a couple of the top list stories and you will quickly see how far from reality they are. Not an advert, but you just echoed my thoughts when I first joined.
