where to go to be alone?

I was wondering if I could get some help brainstorming. I have a couple of characters who just hopped in the car, heading for somewhere other than home where they can do kinky things and make as much noise as they like. It's late on a Sunday night in October. Where are they going?

A hotel would be too expensive and they would probably bother the people in the next room anyway. I thought maybe they could go out to somewhere in the country where a family friend keeps a couple of horses, and go in the stable. Maybe there would be some fun things like a riding crop lying around. But I am afraid they might get cold, and I don't really know much about horses or what you would keep in a stable, or if it would be heated. Might not be too comfy either.

Any other ideas?

The lake house that's not too far away or the fishing cabin or the boat house. In an empty field way out in the country. Empty parking lot behind the abandoned factory building. To the quarry. Maybe they need a van instead of a car.

Outside should be okay, depending on the locale and weather, of course. Jomar has a good idea with the lake house or cabin. Any reason one of them can't have their own detached house?

Stables tend to have all manner of possibles, depending upon whether it is "in current use". They can keep warm in the hay (soldiers have done this for centuries). If the stable is in use, their may be horse blankets and other tack.

I recall what was quoted as a true story about a pair of newly-weds who lived for a time with her Mother. This was a t a time when romance was not something discussed to anyone except ones Doctor if that.
So this pair of enthusiasts took their big car out to what they thought was a remote spot and got the car windows thoroughly steamed up. This went on for a good few days.
Then one night the local bobby (policeman) disturbed their passionate antics. When they'd explained their difficulty, he pointed out to them a fairly rural part of the local industrial estate where it was out of the wind and very, very private.

Abandoned factories.

They can be easy to break into, and could provide loads of fun. All those machinery and gear parts left lying around, the heavy smell of grease and oil, the dirty wooden floors, the broken or uninsulated windows, the old leather pulleys from the machines . . . you can have some real good times in those places.

Surely you can think of someplace different--perhaps someplace that would add possibilities for fresh story content. Like a room in a motel that had be foreclosed on and hadn't been occupied for eight months or a year--but still had its furniture. Or some special-effects building in an abandoned amusement park. Or on a blanket in front of the car in the middle of a closed drive-in movie, where playing a game of what's playing on the screen leads into foreplay.

Er, yeah, it has been posted. It's kinda like a soap opera - I'm not sure if it has an end. More like a rolling series of problems.

Any reason one of them can't have their own detached house?

Ummm... too late.

I've always loved that one. I guess there's no reason I can't use it here just because I used it three stories ago for something completely unrelated.

Or some special-effects building in an abandoned amusement park.

Oh, now that one has potential. Or maybe a fun house or indoor ride.

I like that one too. There was a website I came across a year or so ago that was all pictures of abandoned buildings, and one of them was a state hospital. Very atmospheric.

When I was a kid there was an old fort on an island that attracted plenty of sexual activity. Now its a state historic site. But 50 years ago its where people went to party.

Why not let them be a married couple with that sense of boredom. Let them meet a stranger, maybe their car breaks down. They are invited in to his house. So it could be any kind of house. chance encounters like this invite the elicit and break out of the couple's boring everyday, conventional life. The wife maybe ends up being made love to, while the husband watches...

Consider a cementry, park lot of factory (everyone is working), behind high school athletic field, office or used-car lot.

since they grew up together but were separated by one family moving and then the one character moves back into town and they are re-acquainting themselves with each other. they could go out to the pond back in the woods where they played as children. Even though it is October being located down below the Mason/Dixon line, affords one the pleasure of the seasonal change without the discomfort of being too cold for skinny dipping at night.
After they finish the couple of beers they had, one chgaracter brings up the idea of visiting the 'clubhouse' they helped to build way back when---

A construction site--either a high rise or a housing development. The office, if either of them is high enough up the ladder to have a key and the alarm code (and knows where the security cameras are located). A wooded area. A sleazy motel.

Still, I read some interesting suggestions. I like the idea of sneaking into an abandoned factory or closed-down amusement park. With the right spin, it could be a good backdrop for a Halloween story.

Maybe it's just me, but I would head for the woods, to be alone. And sex outside is pretty wild. That slight risk of being caught in the State Park adds to the juice of it.
