Where is the tar guys icon legend?

I see a red and yellow H or something like that next to some stories, and other icons.
Where the H can I find out what that means?

It means "HOT" - pretty intuitive and also explained if you hover over it...

 

[StillStunned]

The red H ("hot") signifies an average rating of 4.5 stars or better (out of a possible 5 stars) from at least 10 readers.

There's also the yellow N ("new"), which indicates a story published within the last week.

The blue W ("winner") indicates a contest winner.

The very rare green E ("editor's choice") refers to a story recommended by the site's owner.
