WHERE IS EVERYONE ON THE WEEKEND???

This is not a role play. I posted this thread here, rather than in, for example, the General Board, because it is a question ONLY for the Role Players.

Where do you all go on the weekend … or maybe I should be asking, if you only have time to roleplay during the week, from where is it that you are doing your role play AND what are you supposed to be doing instead of RPing?

Are you at work, hoping the boss doesn't come walking into your office or cubicle?

Are you at school in between classes, writing dirty when you should be studying?

I have roleplayed on a number of sites over the years, and I have always wondered how it is that my writing partners are able to post two or three or four times a weekday but disappear on the weekend? What changes?

And seeing how I am the one who asked the question, I should be the first one to answer:

All days, all hours (unless I am asleep), from wherever!

I work from my home and have both a laptop and cell phone, so I have a tendency to role play when ever I have a moment. I don't disappear on the weekends, but I understand and recognize that some people do.

Why?

I assume it's because they are role playing from work or school, and when they are at home 24 hours a day Saturday and Sunday, they don't role play because there are people at home they don't want to see them RPing.

Is this it? Hmm...

My answer is a bit misleading at the current time. Right now I'm temporary laid off for being non-essential, so I can have more time during the day / week to participate. However, I am looking at it from the point of if I was still at work, I wouldn't be allowed to from either the work computer or my phone due to working around sensitive information. That kills the whole 8am-5pm Mon. thru Fri. aspect right there

I understand that, for sure. My previous job was in delivery, so the only time I had to write was on my 30 minute lunch. Now I work from home, though.

So, are you contemplating role playing? You've seen the Seeking thread, right. I hope you get involved; RPing is fun.

Typically more available than I have been today. Hoping to make up for it tomorrow. Friends wanted to video chat (isolation getting to everyone) and going longer than expected.

I just started playing in a role today. I have another one starting up shortly. I did see your one you still have open in the seeking RPers thread that I might message you about tomorrow

Oh gosh, if I had a choice in the matter, this is all I would do all day! Haha

But that's what we call an addiction, and I hear those aren't healthy, so:

If I have enough time to write a good post on my break, [and if I get a break], I will rp from work depending on the environment. If I have my own wifi on my phone it makes it easierb, as I DO NOT want the boss seeing the websites I browse while on break XD

At home, and especially if I don't have something I have to do, I'll often rp a lot more. I don't have kids or friends over that often, and my husband knows what I'm up to

I've never minded working on the weekends, so my posting days are usually random depending on how busy I am and if I am having some writers block or not.
