WHERE FOR ART THOU BROTHER!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/Kuuroinochou/twins.jpg
[Mami Kawada :: Hishoku no Sora]

Twins seperated at birth meet for the first time and fall in love. Their families highly against the pairing work behind the scenes to seperate them and form a proper bond between brother and sister. But do they really want to be "just" brother and sister?

This obviously takes the concept of Romeo & Juliet but adds twins to the mixture. If you are not interested in insest then I suggest that you not read further into this thread. If however you are intrigued please continue...

What I propose is a small cast of characters, based around the Romeo & Juliet theme. While the information will be indisclosed toward the beginning as the story continues the families will learn of their relation and realize that they are dealing with a dangerous taboo.

For whatever reason there will be potential love interests for either twin to focus their attentions. While the players are given full reign over how they intereact with each other the basic plot deals with the twins and their affections for one another. Even so there is room for development in various aspects of the story so dont' feel obligated to focus obsessively on the twins.

---CHARACTER LIST
As for the cast I'm looking for a concentrated group of players to perhaps take on multiple roles. But I prefer main character roles to be played by persons that are not deeply bogged down with other thread committments.
The following are the cast of the original characters ::

ROMEO - Our protagonist of the story and fellow love interest to Juliet (his twin)
JULIET - Our secondary protagonist and also love intrest to Romeo
MERCUTIO - Best friend to Romeo
TYBALT - Juliet's adoptive brother (was the role of cousin in the play)
CAPULET - Juliet's adoptive father.
LADY CAPULET - Juliet's adoptive mother.
MONTAGUE - Romeo's adoptive father.
LADY MONTAGUE - Romoe's adoptive mother.
BENVOLIO - Romoe's cousin
PARIS - Juliets current boyfriend (was a preferred suitor in the play)

Extras
NURSE - personal confidante to Juliet and nursemaid since birth. For our story this role can be taken in many directions and she doesn't have to be a nurse.
FRIAR LAWRENCE - confidante to both Romeo and Juliet he assisted in their secret marriage and other arrangements. This role can also be taken in various ways. Does not have to be a priest.

*Of course you may changed the names and mold the characters to fit your own personal style. And yes there is room for more female roles, ladies... so just jump in and ask around. We'll need something to keep the boys preoccupied.

hmm, I don;t know how main it is but if it's Romeo and Juliet how is the role of Tybalt? Juliet's Cousin who kills Romeo's best friend Mercutio?

He's certainly central to the plot of the original play but maybe not so much here. Like a jealous college boyfreind or something.

Yep still working all that out but its a good point..hehe. That's just a general idea of what we need. I'll fit the characters with a role later, currently just posting cause I was bored.

But now sleep...

Name: Blake
Age: 22
Height: 6'2
Eyes: Gold (Topaz)
Hair: Brown/red
Family position: Male Twin

Bio: While never knowing he had a twin sister Blake was raised as any other child would of been. He went to school, went on his first date, had his first kiss, gratulated from highschool and now was attending the life of a callege student. In life Blake always felt as if he was missing something and because of this he grew up to be somewhat of a rebelious sort, selfish, short tempered and cruel by nature at times to anyone who angered him. Blake broke the rules whenever he could get away with it and took whatever he pleased and had a tramendiously big ego.
Blake never ran into a problem he couldn't handle being, intellegent with a quick tongue to talk his way out of things or manipulate people into doing what he wanted them to do.

This all changes however as he accidently discovoeres the existance of his twin and grows curious as to why no one bothered to tell him about it.

Growing concern and furious with the idea of having a twin to share his familes fortune with anyone Blake moves to find out more about this lost twin of his, because there was no way in hell he was going to give up what rightfully belonged to him. Especially to any snot nosed twin.

Depends on the people participating. Its just a replication of the play but there isn't anything in the rules that state they have to die.

As for right now, I'm still looking for someone to play the role of Romeo. This like an audition of sorts. Just post a profile of information on how your Romeo will participate in the story.

If you want other roles just post information on the role you want. The names of the characters in the play can be changed to fit our current timeline. I just set it up this way to make it easier to understand what role you have. And remember its not taking word-for-word directions from the play at all. So don't feel inclinded to make cookie cutter copies of the playright characters.

Romeo doesn't have to be all romantic, Mercutio doesn't have to be the obnoxious silver tongue that he was ... and so on. Be creative and pull ideas from the play but don't make exact replications.

does it have to end tragically like romeo and juliet?

i found an interesting joke about that recently. i can't remember where i found it (was probably a magazine) but the gist of it was they end up not dying, get married, spend a few years together in which their relationship slowly declines, then Romeo asks himself if he had any of the poison left, and Juliet goes "I put it in your food"

I'd love to play Benvolio, I played him in high school. Good times had by all.

I played Tybalt. We had a screwup of epic proportions but it was all good in the end.

I played the priest when we did the play at school and though I played my part well I was still bored with the whole thing.

I so just wanted to jump up and smite a few people with the bible just for the heck of it. ahhh child hood memories.

I got juliet and for some damn reason I wasn't even trying out for the play... *sigh* Oh well. It was fun for the most part I just adlibbed since I wasn't good at remembering all that flowering wording. It turned out to be a comedic tradgety

I'd love to join in, playing perhaps either the Romeo character or the Mercutio character. Actually I don't really mind playing any of them. I'll eventually make up my mind later and post, I swear.

n a m e :: Fiora Monsivias
a g e :: 23
h e i g h t :: 5' 6"
w e i g h t :: 145
h a i r :: Mahogany
e y e s :: Gold (hazel)
p e r s o n a l i t y :: Fiora is gifted at methodically serving her own interests at the expense of anyone else, including her family, and has no compunctions against emotionally wrecking, manipulating, tormenting, impoverish or setting up others in life-threatening situations for either money, amusement or petty pride, even if she owes them her life several times over. Fiora has been known to be observant, curious, resourceful and cool under pressure. But also as sadistic, petty, sarcastic, manipulative, extremely greedy, irresponsible, wont to foist her blame onto others, nearly barren of conscience or compassion and completely amoral, but seems to be childish at times. She is very fond of all types of tasty treats, including junk food. Her negativity towards other is harbored toward a deep and unknown pain. Despite having friends she has manipulated them on plenty of occasions to benefit her own personal gain; and she'd do it again if need be.
h i s t o r y ::
Seperated from her twin brother at birth, Fiora was adopted by the Monsivias family and given a new identity. All throughout her life, Fiora has felt a part of herself missing. That ever ellusive "bond" that most twins feel she has held on to that empty feeling using it to feed her otherwise demonesque approach to life. Manipulating her family in various ways that would benefit her cause. Of theses various projects she wanted to know why she looked so different from her parents and her brother. Everyone having different color eyes and hair from her own. Finding this to be annoying she dug deeper into the family's history uncovering her adoption papers and other information. She learned at an early age that she had a twin but she hadn't been given the details as to wether she had a brother or sister. Even so she's been on a personal search for this person wanting to know where she comes from and why she had been discarded so carelessly.

... okay I am now looking for the part of Romeo. He's going to have similar features. Because in the picture his hair is slightly darker it can be brown or mahogany like Fiora's. Keep in mind they are twins so Gold (hazel) eyes are a must. Other than that history, personality, hgt/wgt all up to you.

Name: Terry Capsasian
Age: 23
Height: 5'10
Weight: 190
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Gold
Personality: He is a relatively quiet and reserved person. When around people he is comfortable with, he can open up quite a bit and become a very friendly person. When not around his confidantes, he prefers to remain quiet and stay in the background, observing those around him and noticing things no one else does. When he does speak to people, he often times jokes around and will make biting sarcastic comments at them, though he tries to keep this to himself, as he does his best not to offend people. He has a small circle of friends that he keeps very close, to the rest of the world he seems stand-offish and a bit snooty.

Biography: Though he never knew it, Terry was separated at birth from his twin sister. He grew up believing that the family that had adopted him was his birth family, and they never bothered to correct him. Even though he grew up in a very loving family, he always felt that something was missing in his life, there was a hole he could never seem to fill. He ended up being adopted by a family that looked similar to how he looked, so he never noticed any differences, except for his bright vibrant gold eyes. Growing up, he always had a passing interest in topics that were all over the place, and he became a "jack of all trades" of sorts, a man with interests and talents that ranged from archaeology to investigation. Even with all of these interests, he still finds himself looking for something...

Okay, this was my take on a Romeo character, let me know what ya think.

Chicken and grits... okay so far I'm digging Hawk's character idea for Romes yo...

We need more folks for the other roles or I might just adition this thing for Romes and close it off to other people and do a one on one..but damn do I hate 1/1's.

Yes there's room for females hell Mercutio's role can be female if you're creative enough... I see lots of potential.

Submitted for Kuuroinochou's approval.
