Where did the writers go?

...and what's an OP. I know what an OP is in newspapers and magazines but why do some people here (Roxleby) call the original post in a thread OP?

If you don't have a good answer (by my judgement) then just pack it in.
Original Post(er).

The internet is chock-full of new usages like this one. Don't fret too much about it. ;)

Wait, there are erotic writers out there that have actual sex?
They claim so, anyway...

Tried, but I couldn't find it. :(
:( dammit. It's there, Google says so!

I know. I was just being facetious since there were some explicit ones.

odd, don't'cha think, writers who craft explicitly will only imply that they believe themselves to be good writers, or 'writers' at all for that matter.

apart from which, dropping words like 'facetious' you should be in rico's thread about bad writers which has de/evolved into an edumacation thread.

I just need to find somewhere I can use 'impecunious'.

Could have moved to the fan zone areas for the Euro 08? There were all kings of commerse there.

Anyway, I did get me some kickass servelat in a sweet little old town diner.

And the second best macchiato of my life at a cafƩ smack in the middle of "Red Light"-strasse. I also got an indecent and surprisingly blunt proposal from a transsexual hooker. When I told her I wasn't interrested, she ordered a cup of tea and chatted with me and my friends about football.

Write an erotic story about philosophy undergraduates?

new and improved. ;)

We're all still here, Charley....just doing other things: traveling, having way too many kids over at the house all fucking day  ; etc.

I read that as "fucking all day"

Guess you know where my mind is. :D

I wish that's where my mind was, but unfortunately, five little boys running screaming through the house isn't conducive to those type of thoughts.

(I'll be so fucking glad when school starts)

You know the ones. The ones who were curious about aspects of writing because writing meant something like cumming. The ones interested in sex because it was - FUCKING EXCITING. The ones who wanted to get it right because it happened before they were born and they transported us there. The ones who did not complain about not getting a "hot" score on Lit. Where did those writers go?

I don't know them, never met them. Not here anyway. Here has always been a place to watch people flirt, fight and faff on about the writing they're NOT doing.

Are you sure you're in the right place?

Off to mainstream publishing every one
When will they ever learn
When will they ever learn.

Your query reminded me of this olde sign:

My opinion? They probably broadened their horizons and moved on.

Write a period piece. In novels set in the 18th or 19th century, you see the word "impecunious" used all the time.

Oh, and I've been here all the time. I'm working on a story or two now.

Well, you're in luck!

It's the Webster word of the day.
