Where are the New England Peeps?

I have a client from CA and she describes us as incredibly conservative for being very politically liberal. There is a bunch of stuff that works, and changing it doesn't actually make sense.
Your client hit the nail on the head boo! I also agree that it’s not a good idea to try and change that. Our odd duality has made us, and continues to make us a very successful region of the country.

It would be good if leaned a little less into strictly white collar education. We need to raise investment in and status of the trades. For every PhD working in Pharma there are many lab support and facilities jobs that we aren't doing a great job of training people for.

Part of the problem was educators used vocational schools as a dumping ground for problem kids, and we had the every kid should go to college mantra. This was true when I was in school 50 years or so ago, and it got worse (and I was in Cambridge where there was really good vocational training).

Although the Patriots don’t HAVE to win on Sunday vs. the Bills, it would be nice if they COULD win and wrap up the division.

Not to mention, keeping pace with the Broncos. The first round bye is definitely a possiblity.
I thought Cincinnati had that game all wrapped up yesterday….Ugh.

Remaining games:

New England:
Buffalo
@ Baltimore
@ Jets
Miami

Buffalo:
@ New England
@ Cleveland
Philadelphia
Jets
This should favor the Pats, but winning next Sunday should put it away.
Baltimore is likely to be dispirited the following week.
And Philadelphia is a tough one for the Bills.

Broncos have Packers
Jaguars
@ Chiefs
Chargers

All very tough teams.

I second that! I myself am a product of a vocational education. There is enormous value in having everyone learn a trade in addition to any further education. The biggest problem with vocational education today is the lack of enough slots for everyone who wants to go. The school’s in my area all have waitlists for entry.

Surprisingly Minuteman in Lexington doesn't. And yes we should fund more of them. We closed a whole bunch of them because there was a such a strong push for every kid to go to college.

I know the one I went to is actually in the process of building an entirely new school to meet the demand. I would love to see every school offer vocational training as part of the curriculum. Everyone should have a trade!

Pats Ravens got flexed to Sunday night football

Would it have been better to flex the Bills game this Sunday instead of Ravens next Sunday? Ravens are terrible this season
Yeah, but I think the Dolphins/Bengals game would have terrible ratings. Worse than the Vikings/Cowboys game that would have to move this week
