Hello All!

Just trying to start a thread for all of us folks in Conservative-ville, aka Cincinnati!

Feel free to say "hello" anytime! I'm a 29 year old striaght male, new to town and just trying to make some new friends! I haven't posted any stories yet but am trying to work up the nerve to do so!

Feel free to PM me or drop a line on here in this thread for future communication!

Take care!

Welcome to the 'Nati! There's actually quite a bit to see & do, just not well advertised. (That damned conservative media! ) I've been here approx. 18yrs. myself so if you want to PM me with your interests, I'll try to steer you in the right direction...

s.w ohio here, too.... I think collette might be the first female from the area that I've ever seen post.

I'm in Columbus, but enjoyed my two years at Miami of Ohio (Oxford). Beautiful town and area.

I did find the place stifling, especially since I grew up in the liberal area of Athens (maybe second only to Yellow Springs).

Welcome to Lit!

Not many of us here....
Sh-h-h, this would be due to the deviously calculated female plan in the greater Cincy area to keep the ratio the way we like it! ;)

Actually, there probably are some lurking about. Guess you guys will just have to try harder to draw them out!

Maybe we could do some kind of meet up somewhere for all of us in this area and at least get a chance to get to know each other better.

SE Indiana Here

M in SE Indiana here (Franklin Co.), go to Cincy a lot. Maybe we could all meet somewhere some weekend? I'm captdmk on yahoo if anybody wants to chat.

I'm a 38-year-old BBW from the Kentucky side of Cincy. Any youger guys looking to meet up? If you're interested, pm me.

FYI - A thread has started up on the General board for OH/KY/IN residence if you're interested in chiming in.....

In Cincy, Too

Hey, I am in the Cincinnati area also, this is the first time Ive posted in awhile, not alot going on our way, would love to get together with a few.

people keep talking about a get together, but no one's taking the bull by the horns. I'll take a semi-step up.....

on july 3rd there's a celebration in mason, ohio called "red, rhythm and boom". starts at 6, fireworks at 10:30. unless something happens, I'm planning to be there.... the reason? one of my all-time favorite bands, styx, is performing for free and due to hit the stage at 8 pm. it won't be the same without dennis deyoung singing, but as long as tommy shaw and james young are still manning the axes it should be a good time.

might not be what anyone had in mind, but at least it'll be public and should be a safe place to meet up, and maybe an opportunity to talk and hang out before the show.... I confess, once the music starts it gets my almost undivided attention.... unless there are some pretty faces/ sexy tits and asses in ogling distance. ;)

if anyone's interested, I'll try to post more details later.

yes, you are. welcome to lit, miss ellie mae.

Welcome, Ellie Mae. Yes, there seems to be few women in these parts...

Mrtnmoon, I thought I was the only one who admitted to liking Styx. You are correct that they aren't the same with Dennis. would i be correct in guessing that you also like(d) Survivor, Journey, REO Speedwagon and Triumph?

hey steve... I love styx. I only got to see them once, on the paradise theater tour, but it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. journey is ok.... I like some of their songs but I dunno if I'd ever go see them unless it was free. big fan of reo. I saw them twice. survivor I never really cared much for, although I did see them open once for.... triumph. they're my boys. I saw them 7 or 8 times. sometimes I'm surprised anyone remembers them but me. are you a fan? and.... how do you feel about shooting star?

getting back to styx... I saw a video last week of them playing the grand illusion at the sturgis bike festival. even without dennis it still rocked. I probably wouldn't pay the ungodly amount that concert tix cost nowadays to see them, but for the price of gas to get to mason and back I think it'll be worth it.

I may be able to make it, it's going to be at the Corwin M. Nixon Park I believe the entrance is off of Mason-Montgomery Rd. just north of Tylersville. How will we recognize each other? Hardly anyone has any pics of themselves in their profiles.

Edited to add: Parking available at Mason schools, Mason municipal center, and Mason community center. Shuttle service available from school parking lots.

Styx and Survivor were my favorites growing up. I even liked DeYoung’s two solo albums Black Wall and Desert Moon. Never saw Survivor but I saw Styx back in 1997 (? Maybe) at Polaris just north of Columbus. Really enjoyed them.. I vaguely remember that REO played at Lancaster (OH) High School back in the mid 90’s (oh how far they fell).

I don’t remember Shooting Star at all…

I can’t say that I was a huge fan of Triumph, but three of my all time favorite songs were Magic Power, Hold On, and Somebody’s Out There, When I get really down, those songs usually guaranteed a better mood. Amazing guitar playing… I seem to remember that Rik Emmit (sp?) was classically trained?
