Prelude, there will be twists in this story, lots of character developement, as well as sexual encounters.

Mitchell, named after her father, was affectionally called Mitchie by everyone who knew her. She looked a lot like her father, square build, wide feet, same nose and freckles. She had her mother's coloring, hazel green eyes and dark hair. She had piled on extra wieght during puberty, looking back she considered it was probably a mix of things, dealing with step brothers and her stepmom and dad fighting, feeling left out of things because she was the girl or because her mom was trying to work 50 hours a week and attend night school. Plus it served as great camoflauge for her changing body.

When she graduated high school she was a size 16, and her bras were triple d's. The few times she couldn't hide her figure she was uncomfortable with the attention. So she'd figured out how to dress to make her chest look smaller and her body look fatter. She was the kind of girl everyone remembered from high school as being smart, sarcastic, and opinionated.

Mitch was now 26 and had felt like complete crap for about a month. She'd barely eaten as she couldn't keep anything down. She'd tried to sleep but there were dark circles under her eyes. Her old friend Max had been leaving messages on her answering machine.

She'd finally made a doctors appointment and gone, and after a shot for nausea and some fluids she felt slightly more human. When the doctor asked if she was pregnant she almost laughed. She wasn't laughing when the test results came back, even though she was not pregnant.

Mitch called Max, and asked what he was doing. She ended up agreeing to a movie marathon, like they used to do on those long hot summer nights when there was nothing to do and he didn't have a girlfriend. She hopped in the shower, and began thinking about what she really wanted out of life.

By the time she was pulling a purple tank top over her head she decided that she wanted to find out if there was potential for more between herself and Max. Heck, they'd know each other nearly 20 years and while she was unsure about his dating status she was sure she wanted to at least take the risk.

She noticed that the weeks of being sick had eaten away at her belly fat and she could just barely see her bottom rib. It made her look even more curvy than usual and she had actually worn a belt this morning. She still looked tired and for a moment she debated make up, and decided against it, she'd undoubtedly only botch up concealer, as her ability to wear make up only extended to listick for weddings and occasionally eye shadow as her glasses tended to make any eye make up vanish.

She glanced through her clothes, "What does a person wear to seduce their best friend?" she said out loud and laughed slightly. "Not that I have much experience in seduction," she added. She'd had one lover in college but it hadn't lasted long. It had been more of a case where she was tired of being a virgin, he was available and a few weeks later she was tired of his clinginess and the sex wasn't all that great. Mitch had a nice set of legs and opted for a knee length skirt. It was too hot to consider stockings and she slipped on a pair of flip flops and headed out.

She knew Max would have already picked up Chinese food and had a stack of DVD's ready. Mitch tried not to compare herself to the long string of girlfriends he had had, as she was a completely different body type then what he seemed to date. Such thoughts were not about to stop her as she pulled into his driveway.

She took a few deep breaths and thought about what she was going to say and how things could backfire in a zillion different ways.

OOCI cannot believe that no one has picked this one up yet, so I will attempt to fulfill that function, I have an idea or two about MAX that may or may not be along the line you are thinking, if a better offer comes along in the meantime I will happily step aside.

Amazing it was almost as if Mitch was telepathic, it seemed that everytime Max was in a trough and had no one to date or be with there was good old Mitch, like a big bowl of comfort food to bring his spirits up again.

He had just broken up with his latest girlfriend, a red haired Irish immigrant, who had a nasty temper they had broken up because of a political discussion the two of them had, more of a war actually.

He got the Chinese food, hot and sour soup, Colonel Tao's Chicken, a hot spicy bit of food and a number of side dishes to go with them.

For the movies he always picked a theme rather than some random flicks, so this time he decided to go for romantic type films, High Fidelity, French Kiss, Under The Tuscan Sun, and if they did not fall asleep first You've got Mail.

HE liked his house, he owned it even though he was only 26, well him and the bank that had the mortgage on it, it was built in the 1920's with mission oak woodwork, and decor, and he had added a couple of pieces of genuine Stickly furniture to complement it. Everything was ready all he needed was Mitch.

Mitch

She glanced at her feet and wished she'd taken the time to at least take the old polish off her toes. Mitch had collected nail polish for a long time and now had every color imaginable from black to glow in the dark to a neon green, and a bottle of vivid tangerine that her youngest niece loved to wear. The pale green that was left on her toes was a reminder of how long she'd felt like crap.

She straightened her shoulders, which only made her breasts sway and remind her of why she always tended to hunch over. Well she wasn't going to be hiding them tonight, and her tank top certainly showed them off. She headed for door, half expecting Max to meet her there. She laughed, she had great hearing and usually heard him pulling into the driveway at her place. He must be in the kitchen she figured as she almost rang the door. "Don't be silly, you've never rang the doorbell before," she whispered softly as she opened the door and walked in.

"I brought a bottle of rum," not that she was planning to get him drunk, just it was part of the ritual. The host picked up food and movies (and therefore got their pick of movies) and guest picked up something alcoholic. It was more a matter of both having imput than any sense of splitting costs.

She remembered when they had done Indiana Jones movies, as well as a Star Wars night. They had always seemed to pick out movies suited to the time, a good action set at times, others comedies that had them laughing so hard it was a miracle they finished off a pizza.

It had only been after complaining that she rarely got to eat Chinese as her mom didn't care for it that Chinese food had become the unspoken food for movie nights. She remembered the first weekend after she'd split with her boyfriend in college. She'd felt like crap then too and after a bunch of tearjerker movies and a pep talk from Max she'd felt a lot better.

"It smells fabulous," she said as she entered kitchen. She was thinking more about that particular night and how easy it would have been to have done more than just fall asleep in his arms on the couch. Then again they'd both being doing the college thing and it had been a pretty sucky couch and on really hot days it smelled funny.

She smiled at the memory and set the bottle of rum on the counter. She noticed the stack of DVDs and flipped through them. "Chic flicks?" she asked and continued, "you either just ended or just started a relationship."

OOC my apologies for taking so long I lost track of this one, but I will try and do it justice.

MAx looked at her and shook his head, it was almost as if she could read his mind. He sighed heavily and said, "just ended actually, the, oh I don't know, tenth in a string of faliures over the last few years. Believe it or not Mitch, I am doing worse now than when I was in college.

He always spoke to her in perfect confidence, he could not, and would not hide anything from her. "You know something Mitch?"

"Whats zat," she asked smiling at him.

"I think it is because I was an only child and you to, other than your step siblings but they don't count in my book, that is why we get along so good, you are the sister I never had."

She groaned inwardly at that, if he thought of her as a sister, and in truth he had said this before, then her chances were lessened, or at least the odds got longer. "so what was the latest one dare I ask?"

"Irish and very argumenitive."

"OH so red hair and all that."

"No actually, she had this wonderful peaches and cream complexion, pale, pale skin, never had any trace of a tan ever, and the blackest thickest hair you have ever seen, and thick bushy eyebrows, and probably size 8 give or take."

Max had always talked to her like this as if she was a brother, Mitch could not imagine him talking to a sister the way he talked to her. Another inward groan.

"So what happened did you break up over a fellow suitor?"

"No," he sighed, he seemed to be sighing a lot tonight, "we had differing views over politics, she is somewhat left wing, and I well you what I am like. Anyway every time we went out it was always like a college poly sci class. She wouldn't give in on any point, and when I tried to sluff it off or agree to disagree she said I was condescending to her because she was a woman. Shit all I wanted to do was take her to bed."

"You mean you didn't?"

"Mitch, I am going to tell you something, I have never told you, and you might not believe me when I say this but, statistically, and I ran the numbers to be certain, but statistically I have only actually had sex with 26.8 percent of the girls I have dated. So what do you think of that."

Before she could answer just what she thought of that, he went on, "so, Chinese food first, and then the films, or do we start right away, and eat while we watch?"

OOC, I won't make it easy for her.

Mitch

She knew she was in trouble the instant she saw his movie selections and steeled herself for the worst as he revealed he had just ended a relationship. Mitch almost perked up when he said he hadn't been fucking her, but the casual way he was treating the conversation and when he kept saying he thought of her as a sister made her feel ill.

She forced a smile and then he slammed her with the statistic. Mentally she was trying to figure out how many girls that was as he hadn't dated a thousand, but it didn't go evenly into 100, by the time she figured it was roughly 20/75 and then figured that was still a pretty high number of people to have dated in the last ten years, but 10 out of 38 seemed a smidge low as he seemed to easily date four or more girls in any given year.

She was debating making a flippant remark about keeping track, wanting to improve his average, or mouthing off that she had a worse average. It then struck her that this was going to be much tougher than she thought. Simply put while she had occasionally thought about him in a physical way in the past, he had evidentally never seen her as being anything other than his buddy Mitch. Just one of the guys, it was a role she no longer wanted.

"Most guys would be happy with that kind of stat, one out of every four so if you've struck out with your last three girlfriends it means the next one is going to," she was debating how to put it. Any other time she would have made a casual reference or humorous like bump uglies, but now considering she wanted to be his next and last lover, calling it that seemed rather crude. "Rock your world." Mitch opted for something simple, of course she could have opened a can of worms about his sex life, but that was something she could at least work with.

"Definetly eat while we watch," she wished she'd taken time to think about a plan of action. She poured herself a drink and prepared a plate. Mitch kicked off her shoes and said, "I'm ready when you are." She tried not to think of how much meaning she had just laid out there and for once hoped Max was rather oblivious as guys tended to be. She didn't want to screw things up by bludgeoning him over the head, but she didn't want to be so subtle that he tought she was acting wierd.

She did however allow herself to enjoy the view of his ass as he bent over to put his food down and pop a movie in. She reconcilled herself to the fact that while she knew what she wanted, she still had to convince him to want her back.

MAX

As Max put 'Under The Tuscan Sun' in, it was the only one he had never seen, he straightened up and as he turned to get his plate which he had set on the coffee table, he was greeted by the sight of Mitch as she leaned forward to put her glass on the table.

For possibly the second time since he had known her he realized she had a set on her like very few of the runway types he had dated, and she had personality, something else most of his squeezes had lacked. He suddenly had this crazy thought, "jeez she is a girl, maybe I could get lucky," And then he dismissed that thought as quick as it had occurred to him, he could never take advantage of a true friend that way.

'Though they always say when people are married for a long time it is because they are friends,' he thought, and come to that she had a nice face as well, not drop dead gorgeous, but the sort that would still look good when she was sixty. "Stop thinking that way, you pig, you get frustrated and the first thing you want to do is screw your best friend?"

All this went through his mind as he walked to the couch beside her, yes her, she was a girl after all, and he was sure she had all the usual girly bits. Then just when he sat down he realized "Shit I left my drink in the kitchen."

"Stay where you are, I'll get it, I wanted a refill anyway," said Mitch as she stood up. When she walked away he noticed her ass, 'hmmmm,' he thought, 'not bad actually. So how come if I find her attractive, I date all those stick insects.' Then the other side of his brain the one with morals apparently, said in answer, ' because you asshole, your horny and it's any port in a storm, don't go screwing up the only real friendship you have."

That pretty much settled that and both sides of his brain settled down, until Mitch returned and seemed to make a show of bending over and putting the drinks in front of him, and he couldn't ignore the breasts that jiggled, but he hoped she did not notice him as he stared at them.

However while the coming attaractions were playing, he always played them, he asked her casually, "so Mitch, buddy, you having any better luck than I am."

"With what," she said before she realized what he was asking.

"You know the opposite sex, you getting any?"

Mitchie

She had dressed casually but the tank did show off more skin than she typically revealed. The skirt was another deliberate choice, easy to slip out of, casual, yet showing off her legs. It made her feel sexy which gave her the confidence to move a little slower when she bent over, and gave her hips a little extra sway when she went to the kitchen.

She'd actually seen Under the Tuscan Sun, and thinking back on it was rather funny. It had been a girls weekend out and she'd ended up with one of those fun nausea headaches and she'd gotten violentally sick the night they were going to see it and they ended up watching it the next night before returning home. It wasn't one of her brightest moments but it did remind her that one of her check list in a partner was someone who'd actually do the sickness and health bit.

She almost spit out her drink when he asked about her track record. Depending on how she defined a date she could make it artifically high or low. She'd only been in maybe five relationships that extended to kissing, which would make it one out of five, or twenty percent. Then again only three of them even made it to touching, which jumped the percentage to 33%. She realized the pause could make her seem slutty and opted for honesty and evasion.

After all she was 26 and she hadn't had sex in about 5 years, "I think I skipped the whole casual sex stage," she paused trying not to decide if that was too revealing or a foot in mouth type thing, "I guess I want to care about a guy before I get physical with him."

Max looked at her with knitted eybrows, amd said nothing for what seemed like an eternity, and then finally asked, "You mean to say you never actually cared for anyone enough to have sex?"

The question seemed to embarrass Mitch, and to tell the truth once he said it, it embarrassed Max. "Sorry Mitch, that's none of my business, I shouldn't be prying into your private life."

To himself though he was saying, "jeez you might get lucky, and who better than good old Mitch." Then the moral side asked him, "Right and what happens after you fuck, you gonna invite her to your suburban paradise and make a little house wifey out of her, or are you gonna dump her like the rest, and lose the only, THE ONLY, true friend you have, asshole."

Max hated that side of his brain it kicked in at the most inconvenient times, and the worse thing was it was usually right. He finally said aloud, "personally my track record isn't a lot better, and for what it's worth the whole casual sex thing is greatly overrated."

Mitch looked at him and said matter of factly, "why?"

"Why what?"

"Why is causal sex so overrated, isn't sex sex?"

"Well yes, and I won't deny that I sort of like it, but.... Ahh ....well you know it's sort of like,..... say you want another rum?"

"In a minute,?"

"Oh okay," he replied nervously, and Mitch could read his mood better than his mum had ever been able to, it was one of the disconcerting things in their relationship/friendship, they were almost like an old married couple as they both could usually read each other very well. Except for some reason MAx could not figure her tonight, and he was like an open book to her, or so he thought.

Finally he blurted out something that he instantly regretted saying, "Your not a carpet muncher are you Mitch?"

It was one of those OH MY GOD I CAN"T BELIEVE HE JUST SAID THAT moments. For a split second she debated pressing him into the couch and kissing him, but managed to quell the urge. She blinked a few times, "If bad sex was all it took to make a lesbian than every woman would be." She attempted to laugh, "It's been a while since I had sex, guys, present company excluded, tend to be rather sex first getting to know person later, that just doesn't work for me." She glanced down for a moment before continuing, "I want the next guy I'm with to be someone I care about and who cares about me. It may sound old fashioned but that's how I feel." She had placed her hand on him sometime during her confession and she slowly pulled away suddenly aware of the physical contact.

"After all sex is just body parts, any two people can fuck," she noticed his reaction to the word and for some reason licked her lips. She took a deep breath grabbed her drink and took a long drink. "You should know better than to ask a question if you aren't prepared for an answer."

"Actually Mitch it is none of my busines if you are, and I think it highly presumptuous of me to assume that just because you are not having any."

When MItch had placed her hand on his leg, he actually felt a little bit of swelling, but he tryed to ignore that, after all this was his pal Mitch, not some easy lay he had brought home for the evening, not that he had ever been any good at sussing out the easy lays.

Then when she said the "F" word, he almost choked on the rum and coke was drinking, and when she licked her lips he began again to consider Mitch
as a her, not a pal.

She did not say anything after that, and they watched the movie in an awkward silence, but when it came to the part where Dianne Lane's Italien boyfriend basically dumped her for a new model, Max shook his head.

"You know Mitch, not all guys are assholes."

"I said present company excluded!"

"Yea, but you know something, there area lot of women who seem to like the assholes," then with a smirk he added, "present company excluded."

"What are you talking about,' she asked.

"Well you know, I'll bet that more than half the girls I dated, from the university on, would never put out for me, not that I did not want it, but I was just too polite to come out and say, 'hey baby let's fuck' Then they go off with the first guy with a good line and a shitty attitude, who generally left them flat afer getting laid a few times."

""You can't be serious," she asked?

"Remember that one in the last year of University, Monica I think? You came back from the date with Brent, shit even his name was preppy, wanting to tell me the good news about your date and I had to keep you out."

"Yea but I figured you had Monice in the room with you, and wanted to have you wicked way with her."

"Naww, her boyfriend, the one she left me for, because I wasn't where it's at apparently, got his rocks off several times, pissed off her roomates and her parents found out, and then he dumped her. I spent most of that night till the early morning consoling her, and making her feel better, and then she went back to her dorm all happy, and next thing I know, she has another boyfriend a known asshole."

""So are you pissed off that you helped her, and she didn't put out for you,"asked MItch.

"NO I was pissed off that she would not give me the time of day unless she was hurting, which as I recall was most of the time, she was a real drama queen."

Then he looked at Mitch and said, "you know Mitch, I need to meet someone who would take me for what I am, warts and all, and accept that hey maybe I ain't the best dancer, or the life of the party, but maybe, because I am a nice guy." then he looked at Mitch and said "maybe someone like you for example. Trouble is often as not nice guys really do finish last. Shit am I ever felling sorry for myself, you want another rum?"

Mitch

She went ahead and finished off the last of her drink when he offered her a refill. "Please," she said offering her empty glass. Mitch was trying not to put too much hope into his last words, but at least he was thinking in the right direction. She watched him walk out and wondered how to approach this without ruining the friendship. She was suddenly thinking of all the times they had fallen asleep together. How they usually ended up snuggled up and she had made light of his morning erection a few times. For some reason her mind focused on that trying to decide what it would look and feel like from having felt it on those lazy mornings. At same time she didn't want to blow it, after all he was a guy friend and she had shared so much with him. It had been give and take the whole way, she'd let him complain about women and he'd listen to her complain about guys. Tonight it just seemed different, and she stretched out on the couch. She wondered if he'd sit under her feet or take one of the chairs.

"Meeting a nice guy isn't easy, especially in todays instant gratification society. Everyone wants things to be easy, and patience is in short supply. People just don't take the time to get to know themselves, much less their," she paused searching for the appropriate word. Lovers was definetely the wrong word, and fuck buddies was a bit off the other end, "Sexual partners." Mitch opted for the PC term, "So which flick next? or do you want to dive into a discussion of why we pick the wrong people to date?"

From the kitchen as he poured the drinks Max called back, "I want to see French Kiss next."

Then as he came back into the living room, he said, "Boy that rum is going down fast, I can really feel it. What else was it you said just then?"

"I asked if you wanted to talk about why we pick the wrong people to date."

Max sat down after giving Mitch her drink and made no move to put the movie in, though he said nothing either he sat looking all contemplative for a bit.

"Well, what do you want to do?"

"That is an interesting question Mitch, and you know I have been thinking about it a lot lately, I feel like one of those characters in Dickens, who no matter how many good opportunities are presented to them, they still end up in some sort of tragic situation."

"Really."

"Yes really, sort of self destructive, you know." He sat looking into his glass and finally said, "you know I have actually questioned my manhood, so to speak."

"What do you mean?"

"That maybe I am really gay or something, and am scared to admit it."

Mitch was unsure how to address this, so said nothing.

"I actually answered a personal once for a guy who was apparently bisexual, sort of to get my feet wet you know."

"No I don't."

"Well anyway when I met him I chickened out, so I guess I am not after all."

Mitch finally said after an awkward pause, "you better put the movie in."

She had trouble thinking of Max doing that, but at the same time she'd had similiar thoughts. That it would be easier to be with a woman, but quickly discovered that it wasn't really something she wanted and the same problems with sexual compatibility and jealousy were still there.

It was an awkward moment none the less and if it had been anyone else she would have considered it to be too much information. She rather liked French Kiss, as everyone was going after the wrong person and the french guy had trouble getting it up. Which got her back to thinking about sex with Max. Would it be an awkward how do you like it too shy to just go for it deal or would there be the easy give and take exploration that she usually imagined.

"I think that sometimes it takes more guts to go for something or someone you really like than going for something you know you can handle."

I think that sometimes it takes more guts to go for something or someone you really like than going for something you know you can handle."

Max looked thoughtful for a moment, his hand poised on the remote for the DVD, and finally said, "that is so true Mitch, but I don't know, I always think I like the women I go out with and it always goes sour. Seems like recently it goes bad much faster than it used to."

Max looked at him and asked, "what do you mean?"

"Well it seems that I keep finding these lovely ladies, we get together and before I know it, it ends. It's not as if they dump me, I just lose interest, that is I guess why I thought I was gay or something. I can't talk to them like I talk to you."

HE downed more than half the rum and coke, which Mitch noticed was increasingly becoming more rum than coke, and said, "I need another drink before the film."

He stood up to go to the kitchen and then turned to look at Mitch for a minute, as if he wanted to say something, Mitch in turn looked back, waiting, and finally he said, "Mitch I've known you since high school, and you have know me, your a girl, tell me what is it I'm looking for, what do I need, or want?"

Mitch looked surprised, and was slow to answer, and finally he said, "don't worry, it's just the rum I think I've had too much, my tongue seems to be getting loose, and my brain is running on, you want another one? I just wish that I could find a girl who was like you, that would be perfect."

Did he say what she thought he said?

He headed off to get another drink and she was just about to say he knew someone like her. What was holding her back, he'd just given her the perfect opening and she ahd said nothing. Mitch was uncertain of whether sex would be a good idea right now. They were running on unknown and fragile territory, and her heart was pounding.

He was also drinking more than usual and she didn't want him to be unable to remember what happened or for it to interfer with his performance or to think it had been the alcohol that had made it happen. She took a sip of her drink, it had seemed so simple earlier, kiss him acknowledge a physical attraction and go from there. There was so much between them, and she was licking her lower lip when he returned. She patted the space between her legs, as one leg was casually bent and other foot rested on floor.

He sat down and she wrapped her arms around him and ruffled his hair, "Well the original is better than any copy." Her arms wrapped around him and she could feel the beating of his heart. Mitch's hands were dangerously close to heading down his pants, she relaxed her dirty thoughts. "Ever think about what it would be like if we got together?" She liked the fact that she couldn't see his face and vice versa.

"Ever think about what it would be like if we got together?" She liked the fact that she couldn't see his face and vice versa.

To be perfectly honest, Max had never before tonght even considered that as a remote possibility, she was Mitch his surrogate sister, his best buddy, his rock whenever something went wrong, and he needed a safe haven. This thought was something he was wrestling with in his head now though.

He had sat like this with Mitch a hundred times, maybe more, and never thought anything of it, it was Mitch for christ sake. As he sat there though, his head against her ample bosom, her fingers tousling his hair he had the distinct and sudden impression she was trying to seduce him.

His moral brain went into overdrive, 'what the hell are you thinking, she is doing nothing she hasn't done before, you keep thinking like that and you won't have a friend anymore, in fact you might get banged up for sexual assault, idiot."

The other side of his brain stated the obvious though, 'She said about us getting together, she wants it I know she does, hell so do I.' Then before the good side could answer back Mitch placed her free hand on his chest and then moved it down just a little bit, towards his navel and stopped.

With the one hand on his abdomen, and the other in his hair he was glad she couldn't see his face, but then something happened to betray him, he quickly crossed his legs hoping Mitch didn't notice the immediate erection he had gotten. He seldom got spontaneous hard ons like he had in high school, but he had one now. Still no response from the moral side.

He thought Mitch was holding her breath waiting for him to answer, at least she was suddenly breathing very quietly, so finally he lied, "No actually Mitch that had never occurred to me, why do you ask?"

She was holding her breath, partly because she was afraid of his answer, partly because she'd become increasingly aware of her breasts and her tits had finally gotten to point where she could feel them pressing against his back and every little breath caused them to rub and it was almost unbearable.

"I know this probably sounds stupid, and if you think so we'll just forget I ever said it, but," she took a deep breath one hand rubbing the base of his skull, the other resting casually along his waist. Heck she had seen him in swim trunks, not to mention about a zillion times in his underwear when it had been a really hot summer night. She'd usually gone for the long t-shirt and usually had worn her panties, even though she rarely did so when she slept alone. "I think we would be good for each other." Her lips were barely an inch from his neck, yet she wanted the first kiss to be mouth to mouth, a I want to be with you kiss, not a kissing skin I wanna fuck kiss.

Max almost went into convulsions, he had just taken a healthy swig of his drink and when she had said about wanting a fuck kiss he had snorted and tryed to keep it in his mouth instead it went all over his tan pants, through his nose and into his windpipe. His face went red and he struggled to catch his breath.

HE had stood up to try and recover and when he did he had forgotten in the excitement about his erection, which was blatantly obvious, now as Mitch looked at him wondering what she had done to him.

She said, "you should get those pants soaking, or the coke will stain them."

Max finally recovered after a couple of minutes, and his face was now just red instead of purple, his erection was if anything even more evident. "What the hell are you saying Mitch, are you saying you want us to, you know, ahh screw or something?"

Looking at his middle and obvious arousal she paused and thought long before she answered.

His reaction didn't surprise her, but maybe the intensity of it did. It was obvious he was fairly uncomfortable with the idea, but the tent in his pants was saying something completely different than his stammered reply.

"What the hell are you saying Mitch, are you saying you want us to, you know, ahh screw or something?"

What he said kept echoing in her head, each time he sounded more incredulous. She was debating between covering - saying it was a stupid idea, pointing out his erection, or something more daring. In the end she felt like she stuck her foot in her mouth. "Geeze stop acting like I'm going to throw you down and rip your clothes off." Which she could do, while Max was taller she could easily take him down, in fact the few times they had wrestled over something she almost always ended up on top.

There was another long awkward pause, "I only want to if you want to," she said so softly that her lips barely moved. She had either jumped into a big steaming pile of shit or taken one step off a cliff. Oddly enough the song 'I want you to want me' was now playing in her mind.

"Geeze stop acting like I'm going to throw you down and rip your clothes off."

When Mitch said that he grinned ever so slightly as he recalled the few times they had wrestled she had gotten the better of him. He was strong enough but no athlete.

Then she said, "I only want to if you want to," , and he almost had to read her lips to comprehend what she said.

He realized he still had the now empty glass in his hand, and set it down, somewhat more deliberatly than he would have chosen had he thought about it. Then he looked at Mitch again staring at her as if he had just met her. It was like someone who lived near a famous tourist site, people from all over would come and look at it, but the nearby residents were unaware of it.

He realized to, now that he thought of it, that virtually every girl he had ever dated had been the opposite of Mitch, slim, model types, that is when he had a date, and the sex was to say the least okay for the moment but lacking something, was Mitch what was lacking?"

He looked at her hard, and she had a look that seemed like fear to him and he realized that he must be putting her through the wringer. Her mouth though was full and soft looking her lips real nice, her breasts were easily the biggest he had ever seen. her body was somewhat stocky but not unattractive, so why hadn't he noticed her before this way, why now?

"I don't know Mitch," he said as he sat beside her, gently biting one corner of his bottom lip with his upper canine. He felt he should be more guy like just now, who knows why, and said, "I mean you got killer tits, a real nice rack." Then seriously, he went on "this might sound corny but, I value your friendship so much, I would hate to do, you know," he said this as he shrugged his shoulders, not wanting to say sex, "then wake up tomorrow and suddenly everything has changed, it is different. We aren't friends anymore and we, I don't know, we, ahh well we are different."

Mitch looked at him the way she sometimes did when he was talking, it was like he was doing a monologue, and she listened but never said anything, and he could never tell what she was thinking, he always felt like a goof when this happened. "I mean I suppose we could change for the better to, it's possible isn't it? He looked at her waiting for a reply, but she said nothing.

So nervously Max went on, "I have to tell you something Mitch," he sort of looked down as he said this, "in all honesty, I don't think I'm very good in bed. Which is probably why all those girls never hung around, they get laid and then they are gone and I'm alone again. I don't want to lose you to Mitch, your worth so much more than a roll in the hay." While he said this his tentpole was still as prominent as ever, and if he had been asked he would have said it was throbbing just then, no mistake if Mitch pushed, he would do it, his moral brain seemed to have shut down.

Mitch

She doubted he had any idea how cute he looked when he worried his lower lip. It was one of those small signs that he was seriously considering what she was offering. She felt relief when he made the somewhat crude comment about her chest, it meant he was looking at her that way. She also doubted that he had any idea how sexy his admission of not wanting to ruin their friendship was. His comment on not being a capable lover, that caused her to raise an eyebrow. She knew he'd crumble if she pursued him, but she wasn't sure she wanted things to start with even the slightest hint of coersion.

"I know what you mean," completely true she knew. Now she was treading on thin ice, and she considered her words carefully. "I would never want to take advantage of your friendship." She licked her lips slowly as she thought about her next words. She wanted to spill everything, that she'd only been with one guy, her epiphany, but she knew now was not the time to go dumping extra fireworks on an already delicate moment.

"One kiss," she paused gauging his reaction, trying not to glance down at his bulging erection. "One kiss, and if you can still think of not touching me we'll curl up on seperate chairs and continue being platonic friends." She sat up and leaned in towards him covering about half the distance that had been between them. Her breasts barely brushed against him depending on how deeply she breathed.

Two things happened at once, first Max was somewhat taken aback by Mitch's proposal, for some reason he had never equated a kiss with sex, strange but true. When she moved towards him he leaned towards her and just as their lips were about to touch he started having a fit of nervous giggles like a fourteen year old.

Max backed off and tried to control himself and a few seconds later he moved forward again, but just as their lips were about to touch, and Mitch's heaving bosom was against him, he started to giggle again. He realized this must seem strange to Max and was no doubt very irritating to her as well.

"I'm sorry Mitch, I don't know why I just can't do that right now." He looked down at the floor as the hurt in her eyes was obvious to him, and he became serious, "maybe we just aren't meant to get together that way. Maybe, I don't know." he was probably feeling at this point more awkward than he had ever felt with Mitch before, her face bore an expression he interpreted as pain.

He sighed and shook his head, still Mitch said nothing just the expression of hurt or whatever on her face. Looking down he had lost his erection, or at least it had shrunk to a size more comfortable given it's confined space. He was looking down and biting his lip again and then he had an idea, he looked up and suddenly without warning put one hand on each of Mitch's cheeks, and roughly pulled her to him and he did kiss her.

She looked very surprised when he let go as it had been rather unexpected, and definitly lacked any finesse or charm, but was just a quick lip bruising crush. When he pulled back his erection was back to where it had been, and he was short of breath.

"There that's over with, now let's try it again only slowly and with feeling, okay Mitch?"

He broke out into giggles, and it was finally getting on her nerves and she turned her head away ready to call the whole thing off. She'd been stupid to think he'd ever get past the whole girl next door thing. Then suddenly his hands grabbed her face and he kissed her. It was a rough kiss, no feeling, just sudden unexpected pressure, not entirely unpleasant, but not her romantic ideal either.

She had been taken off guard as when he first pulled her against him, she'd felt that his 'interest' had waned, but by then time their lips parted, he was back up to the point where she could feel his cock straining to be free.

She was speechless and breathless for a moment and when he spoke she found herself breaking out in laughter. It sounded so, directoral or something that she couldn't help herself. She noticed he wasn't laughing with her and she finally caught her breath and stopped.

"I'm sorry, it just seems so forced." Mitch paused trying to put it all in words, "Don't pretend for my sake," she ran her fingers lightly against his cheek. "I'm being pretty selfish, just because I'm ready to be with you doesn't mean you're ready to be with me." She sighed softly, "It would be just my luck, that the moment I finally want to be with you, you are in rebound land."

Max looked at her with a scrunched up expression on his face, "what do you mean rebound land, hell that has been my permanent address for years. I haven't had any sex, honest to god, since last year sometime I think fifteen months. I mean I have, you know done some self pleasure, well actually quite a lot , but no honest to goodness down and out get your clothes off and balls to the wall sex."

Mitch looked astonished as she knew he had at least three girlfriends within that time span.

He went on almost bitterly, "no wonder I thought I was actually a closet queen. You would be amazed Mitch at the number of girls who sincerely desire an asshole, for a boyfriend and lover."

"I have to say that I am, dare I say it honoured that you want to be with me, and I think maybe there could be something to that. That kiss was just an ice breaker, but I could see where you might take it as clumsy or forced. Well actually it was forced but it served a purpose it sort of got me past the initial stuff"

Then he did something else unexpected, something he had bever done before in all the time they had known each other. Max picked up her hand and softly, almost tenderly kissed the back like someone out of an old movie. He caught her hand and slowly but deliberatly brought it to his mouth and then, he slowly but deliberatly moved his lips to the back of her hand, brushing her hand so softly she hardly felt his lips but only the warmth of his breath.

"I think Mitch I can do this, and you know what, I think I have wanted to for a long time."

It was like a pendulum, you never knew when it was going to swing back at you, wandering from one extreme to the other. She was held her breath for a moment and was begining to feel worse about with holding any information. Especially as he started spouting off about his dry spell and wanting things to work. The chivalrous kiss would have done her completely in, if she hadn't already known she wanted him.

"Sometimes you talk too much," she whispered with that same soft smile. Mitch took a moment to slip her tank top off before leaning in against him, taking a much softer kiss. "Don't force it," she whispered when their lips finally parted, taking a moment to look into his eyes. "Try and relax," she was slightly tense and nervous herself as her fingers played with his hair, stroking exposed skin as they kissed again. Her lips parted gently and she tenderly ran her tongue along her lips. Mitch was happy to take things slow and easy, as she coaxed his mouth open and managed to keep it very gentle. A slow sensual kiss as her tongue touched his, caressing his lips, slowly feeling his tongue move freely.
