When will Trump admit his border wall plan for Mexico isn't feasible?

Poll to follow. Vote.

His backpedaling is gaining momentum. I say he'll either hint at or outright state something to this effect between July and November (though my heart is telling me it'll happen earlier). And, whereas he's come out mostly unscathed in other instances, I think this will take a bigger toll.

You do realize that much of what he says is just to get attention? And its working?

Oh, I voted July- Nov

I did too, but I really want to put it earlier. I almost think his camp would suggest it, so that it doesn't become as big of an issue closer to the debates with Hillary.

Think he would laugh at her if she brought it up. She knows its BS too.

Inauguration Day

Maybe when he learns what Mexican food is, but I'm not betting on it.

He'll never admit it. He knows his voters are dumb enough to believe he can build that wall.Plus, media will not confront him about that wall.

Seriously? Now that the media has, once again, gotten the Republican that they hoped for, they are going to somehow hold off going in the tank for the DNC nominee? Really?

Whatever happened to shovel-ready jobs and the magic multipliers of government spending on infrastructure?

NOW the Lit Libtards are against it?

Is the F-35 still a good idea?

Existing infrastructure or infrastructure that could be useful. Not a magic wall in an era where we are centuries past the time when such long walls might have had a use.

Good lord, it is easy to do. It does not have to be a complete wall, especially in the harshest terrains which can be patrolled by drones. The wall is a metaphor for telling the world that you cannot deny our sovereignty.

When the Obama White House was breached, what did he do?

Oh yeah, he made his wall taller and he made us pay for it.

;) ;)

Infrastructure money spent on roads eases industry, reducing travel costs to companies and individuals.

Metaphors do not.

You are talking about a Maginot Line that has no value. As easily as you can say it is a metaphor for our sovereignty, I can say it is a metaphor for Republican fear. Even easier, quite frankly.

It is a money pit that adds nothing. Comparing an area the size of the White House to the massive border between the U.S. and Mexico is apples and oranges of the highest order.

I'm assuming you don't actually believe this wall hubub, since you aren't voting for Trump.

lol

NOW we're speaking about money pits...

The only people talking about money pits when Obama was spreading out his walking around money to his cronies was, well, guys like me who were called racist. He didn't spend it on "infrastructure" and neither will Hillary, they'll spend it on their voters and their voters wishes. If Trump can enforce the borders, I'll look away as he spends about enough to pay for half a dozen F-35s that no one wants or needs.

Perpetual cost for no added value=the wall.

Man, maintain, fortify, forever. While people still cross it. Because the majority of illegals crossed the border legally, and overstayed their visas.

The wall does not provide a way to enforce the borders. If we were under Kings, and growing crops to pay our local Barons while playing lutes, it would be a stellar idea, but then you would be complaining about how the country is going to pot due to the unwillingness of the young to give their brides to the local lords on demand, and that really doesn't have the same tone without all the emoticons. Plus, it's hard to find naked lesbian nun gifs in the local gazette, in this glorious time of walls and poxes.;):D

Is it true what I read (or misunderstood)?
That Obama was the one who also reinforced that existing piece of ruling by which the rich are taxed only 10% (for whatever excuse "because they're job creators" or so on),
- in contrast to the middle class who are still veing taxed 33%?

He's not too popular outside the States/Europe and Australia included (almost as unpopular as Bush was) because of his foreign policy.

Answer every question with how terrible Obama is!

The wall is expensive. If it really stopped the people coming across the border it would be worth talking about but the numbers are not pretty. Smugglers are creative and well financed. Build a wall, build a tunnel. Smash the tunnel, build a submarine. Technology and boots on the ground would be a better use of the money.

The reason for the public condemnation is not just the lameness of the idea, it is the slam the hand on the desk attitude of Trump. Make Mexico pay or I will not build my resort! He is surrounded by Yes Men and has become accustomed to such an uneven business playing field that he expects to always get him way. Even if his way is an unworkable idea.

Why wouldn't it?

I thought it would, to a certain degree.
I agree - it wouldn't stop the drug cartels or those with money to get their drugs and so on across, or even the real terrorists.
But I thought that it would make it easier for border patrols to guard the borders, and it would stop a significant bulk of potential illegals from crossing the border.

Which would also save the honest taxpayer some money, because illegal immigrants = crooked employers who pay them peanuts and who don't pay taxes either = deficit in the budget.
So I would've thought that the wall would've ended up being cost-effective in the long run.

N.B.
I don't like fascist Trump either. I was just referring to the idea.

The solution is simple.

Put a bounty on Mexicans then put the people you catch someplace they don't wanna be. The problem will solve itself.
