I have a question. How long does it normally take Literotica to post a story you send them? I'm just wondering, I sent mine in a few weeks ago, and I am still waiting. Thanks!

I am being patient. I was just wondering when I should check back. My member profile is up, and I keep getting stupid guys on AOL who say "I liked your story!" and then I wonder how they know. Oh well...

I submitted my first story at the very beginning of March and it was just posted today as a new story ( My Story Day 1 )

Based on this experience, I would say it would likely take a little over a month.

JMUHorn,

Be patient, it can take awhile for a story to get posted. Laurel gets 20+ a day.

As for the aol dorks who email you from your profile and say "I liked your story." I think it's just something generic they put which really means "I haven't actually read anything, but baby, that picture is worth a thousand words!"

(Unfortunately, most of the words are monosyllabic I think.

If you are one of the aol pervs, please, take this personally!

Hi all,

Right now, we have a backlog. However, as we speak (or write, as the case may be) a Russian programmer is working on a script that will cut the time it takes me to post a story by 75%. He sent us the first rough draft of the program today, and Manu and I are troubleshooting it today (as well as doing taxes, answering email, editing stories.. etc. etc.). It will probably a few more weeks till it's final, and then Manu and I have to sit down and enter all 1700+ of the old stories into the database (yikes!). However, we can start entering new stories in immediately, which will cut the backlog significantly. Once we have that in place, it shouldn't take more than 1-3 days from submission for your story to appear on the site. I know it's rude of us to make you fine authors wait so long, and I assure you that we are working hard to fix this. Thanks for your patience, and take care...
