Ok I'm just asking this cause of a dispute just had in my Deep in the Castle of Torment thread. As it goes Emily321 and I had a decent rp going that was 88 post into our story, very deep into at a point where it would be hard for anyone else to join. Then two people tried joining our thread and I told them I would ask Emily321 if it be a possible for them to join since so far in our rp. One of them blew up at me saying since I had put "Open to Anyone" in the title, that he had every right to join. I even put "closed for Emily and me" on the sub-title on my first post. I just thougt by 88 post with just between Emily and I that everyone else would leave us to do our thing. So am I wrong assuming our thread was closed when we done so many post into our story without anyone else showing interest?

While it hasn't happened to me that far into a story, I have had threads marked *Closed* invaded by assholes who don't bother to read the rest of the thread, don't bring any interesting ideas with them, and are really only there for a quick cyber fuck. it's unavoidable. the thread's owner has every right to say who can and cannot play in their thread, even if it is open.

some people are sensitive and don't handle rejection well. these people always think their motives are pure and are totally justified in jumping in with just one or two sentences. i suggest having either your or emily's character pull out a gun, blow their heads off, and then pretend like nothing happened. that should make it pretty clear that the intruders aren't welcome, if they don't listen to reason and insist upon being assholes about the whole thing.

Vicky,

Unfortuantely, some folks here can't (don't) bother to read a thread from the FIRST POST. If he had, he would have clearly seen that your sub title showed it as closed.

Also, since this person is new, he probably hasnt figured out that EVERY time you or someone posts to a thread it moves to the 'first' spot, which means absolutely NOTHING!!! LOL. The moment you send your post, someone will surely post to something after you, putting them in 'first place' (sorry that just cracks me up!)

Don't take offense by his 'hurt' reaction. YOU own the thread, and anyone that presumes they can just join in with out the courtesy of a PM, can just get over it!

I wish Lit gave the thread 'originator' rights to remove unwanted posts to their thread, that would take care of these rude 'post hijackers' once and for all!

Take care,

~q

You're in the right here VC just read the posters comments and they are out of order, for anyone to join your thread that late they have to at the very least get an idea of just what the story is about, the best and biggest help to this is the opening post , setting the scene etc, if they bothered to read that first post as they should have done then they would see your edit.

Otherwise as fukensploogin said , they are just after a cyber fuck having no intention to invest in the story line.
