The world was normal as to that of today, but entertainment for inhome players had taken a step to the next level. VR home playstations. Yes, it was sony! Tired of the harsh onslaught of X-Box and Nintendo, they too a giant leap of faither when they received plans for the ultimate station from an unknown source.

But no one questioned this new game, because it was the greatest thing since Dungeons and Dragons took the platform leap and lead to every rp ever.

This game was an alternate world, where everyone was whoever they wanted to be, black, white, asian. And nationality could look any way they wanted, be any size, shape, color.

And ontop of that, it was ripped right out of midivil times, but with a few of the more mystical elements thrown in. There were dragons, mages, knights, demons. And yes, even an entire ancient civilization that was slowly being excavated peice by peice.

Friendships in the game quickly became solid like faimly, saving each others lives, if you didn't depend on your team mates, unless you were extremely skilled, you didn't last long. And even sometimes these friendships lead to encounters, but it was never anything above pg-13, the game had special safety locks.

It caused people to feel sensations like mild shocks and pressure in place of pain, it held back the game from allowing anything that didn't belong in the game in it. But then...the wall was shattered.

AI characters and monsters all acted the same, but those safeguards that prevented anything sexual or painful were dropping slowly. This tells of the players that entered this world and soon found that games can always be too realistic

OOC: *thunks head on keyboard* Ok! Look, we have an ooc thread, you guys are doing this backwards! OOC is for sign-up, IC is for rping not vice versa!

Just finishing my daily work getting ready for it to be sent off. Thought about taking a break, a nap or something yet didn't feel like doing that either. Been trying to take a break from the game for sometime, the harder I tried the more I played.

The game was calling me, begging me to play it today. Getting it set up, logging in like normal. Once I was in the game noticed that I was out of food and drink and a few other supplies. Ran the errands I needed to run, normally I would just steal things felt like being nice today, least for now.

After I got what I needed, finding an open area alittle ways out of town, started to practice one of the dances I needed to work on alittle more. Was a dance that would allow me to hypnotize my opponents through all the swirls of the various veils.

(ooc -sorry it's not much of a start, but kinda distracted this morning =/ I'll do more later today )

The day had been too damn long. Fighting with one too many people over what needed to be done around the barn, just got on her nerves. Besides it took away from her time working with the horses.

She headed home, thankful the day was over. She was anxious to get back home and to her Game. She definitely needed to relax tonight. Arriving home she quickly showered, dressed in a tshirt and panties and headed to the kitchen.

After a quickly eaten meal, she headed to the game console... "Now to relax some."

Skyler

Skyler stepped out into the darkness, she was dressed in a tunic of dark blue, black leggins, and low soft leather black boots. Over thisshe wore a cloak of black, with her hair braided and tucked inside the cloak.

She headed for the tavern, knowing she might find tonight's meal among the many that took up refuge there. She may even be lucky enough to find her target there as well. She had been able to find out that he liked to get drunk here sometimes, but as of yet she had not been able to find him here.

She loved the fact that her prey was elusive, but hated it at the some time.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, sighing to myself. "Alright, alright. Let's go over this again. You will give me 10 GP, okay? At which point I will tell you whatever future I see."

The adventurer tilted his head sideways. His hands stayed firmly planted on his hips. "I dunno...What if I don't like what you tell me? What if that's not what I wanted to hear? Why should I still have to pay?"

"It's the bloody future!" I yelled, almost causing my glasses to fall off. "You can't choose the one you like! It's just there!"

"Fine, fine." The young man muttered. He reached into his pockets and pulled out 10 gold coins, reluctantly giving them to me.

"There we go." I closed my eyes and created a crystal ball in my mind. I began to focus on the sphere until a vision popped in my head. I opened my eyes again.

"You are going to get into a fight with another swordsman. You will argue and settle it in a sword fight."

"And? AND!?"

"...And you will lose horribly."

"WHAT?!" The man yelled. I smiled, trying to hide a chuckle.

"Sorry, Mac. That's the future." He gave me a dirty look that said he would chop me in half and get his money back if we weren't in the middle of a town square. He stormed off angrily. I smiled and pocketed the money.

Well that was good. Real freaking brilliant. I heard a voice in my head. I frowned and looked back at my backpack. A familair green lizard head was poking out. You really do love making life hard don't you? Just piss off every armed man in the damn town.

"Shut it, Slip." I said to the iguana. "I couldn't very well lie to him, could I?"

Oh that's right. I'm dealing with Mr. goody-two-shoes prissy pants. Excuse me for tearing at your moral fabric.

"Shut it, or you don't get fed. Got it?" I growled at him and turned to walk down the streets. This ten GP had better get me a nice room for tonight...

Skyler

She stopped a moment and watched the exchange between the swordsman, if he could call himself that and the fortune teller.

Interesting, she thought as she watched him walk off in the very direction she was headed. She smirked a little as she walked behind, the sound of him speaking to someone, most likely himself, drifted back to her.

She thought it might be of some entertainment to keep her eyes on this one for a time.

"That's a ripoff!" I exclaimed, slamming my hands down on the counter. "How can you charge 30 gold coins for one night in one room?" The innkeeper was not fazed.

"That's how it goes, kid. I'm running a business here." His gruff voice responded.

Should I bite him? I heard Slip's voice in my head. I could probably give him one or two bad diseases.

:: NoSlip. No biting. :: I thought back at the iguana. :: At least not yet. ::

"How about if I pay 15 gold coins and you get a free future reading?"

The innkeeper thought about this. "Twenty and it's a deal."

"Fine." I closed my eyes and concentrated on the sphere. I had a sudden vision of the innkeeper's rotund body falling down a flight of stairs and crashing into a wall.

"Uh...I see you...and two beautiful women."

"Really?" The man's eyebrows rose.

"Yes...and they...er...are enjoying your company." I said.

"Wonderful." The man smiled. "That will do just fine." I let out a breath and placed twenty coins on the counter. In return, I recieved a key to the room.

As I began up the stairs, I heard the iguana's voice again. Whatever happened to your moral code of conduct? Does that not apply when discounts are being offered?

"You know, I don't need to let you stay with me. Most oracles don't even let their familiars inside the house." I hissed. Slip didn't apologize, but he sure shut up.

Skyler

She walked quietly behind him and slipped into the Inn just before the door closed. She stood in the shadows and watched as he bartered with the Innkeeper, she knew the man was hard to deal with.

She shook her head as the Innkeeper noted his price, she knew the rooms were overpriced even for the price they settled at. But she also knew the Innkeeper couldn’t resist taking advantage of anyone new to town.

She stood watching silently as the guy told him his fortune. She noted the slight nervousness in his voice as he revealed the Innkeeper’s fortune. She held back a soft chuckle.

She stepped out of the shadows as he turned and headed for the stairs, it was then she saw the lizard poke its head out of his pack. Now she knew who he had been speaking to. She was a bit relieved to find out he wasn’t talking to himself.

She looked to the Innkeeper and smiled slightly, “You know its not good to overcharge like that especially when your rooms are worth less than you settled for.”

“Listen wench, it’s none of your business how I do business.” He growled at her.

She only smiled, not breaking her cool demeanor. Her Ice Blue gaze settled upon his ruddy brown one. “You should be careful who you are calling wench. It could be dangerous… for you.” With that she smiled and showed just a bit of fang and a wicked glint in her eyes.

The Innkeeper’s eyes widened slightly. “I-I’m… sorry Miss…”

“Much better…” She turned and walked past him on into the darkness of the tavern part of the inn. As she stepped through the doorway she was assaulted by the usual noise and clamor of the night’s inhabitants.

She moved gracefully though the tavern as if she had a purpose, headed for the bar. She ordered her usual wine and paid the tender. Then she headed for a quiet table off to the side of the room.

She wondered if the fortune teller would come down to the tavern to show off his skills or would he hide in the darkness of the room he had overpaid for.

The room wasn't half bad. I had to smile at my luck at getting a discount. The bartender NPC's react very realistically. This game was truly a masterpiece.

I placed my backpack down on the bed and stretched out a little. It had been a long journey coming from Colleria to here, and I was willing to just rest so I could restore my hit points. I could feel the sleepiness course through my body.

But hunger was the more prominent of feelings; thusly, it got top billing. I moved to the door when I heard Slip's voice again.

Where are you going, Boss? I turned to see that the iguana was climbing out of my pack.

"I'm going to get some food. Behave yourself and I might bring some back for you."

Oh, thank you Great One. I am not worthy of your massive generosity. Slip rolled his beady eyes. I grumbled as I closed the door. Stupid smart ass lizard.

I moved my way down to the tavern and sat at the stool. I gave the bartender a wave. "Gimme some dinner and a hard drink." I said. "Whatever 5 gold pieces will get me."

"Right-o." The bartender left and came back with some soup and a mug of ale. Without looking at him, I responded.

"I want you to give me a different glass of ale. And this time, don't substitute half of it with water." The suprise on his face suddenly faded as he saw that I wore an Oracle's headband. He quickly apologized and ran off to get me another ale. I sighed and took a spoonful of soup. It wasn't the best, but anything tasted good on an empty stomach.

Skyler

She sat and watched the occupants of the tavern; a few had come and gone. She noticed the one she had been looking for arrive, but just as he made his way to a table, the fortune teller walked in, distracting her.

She pulled her gaze away from him, looking for her target once more. He was alone, for now, and that was always good. She would need to keep watch on him, the other could wait. If all went well she would have this done before the hour was too late.

She waited a short time, seeing that he stayed alone, she rose from her table and went to the bar. Stepping up next to the fortuneteller, she looked to the tender and ordered an ale and a glass of wine, and then slipped him 3 gold to pay for the drinks.

The bartender glanced quickly to Dominic, as he picked up the gold from the bar, and then hurried about his business.

As she turned to step away from the bar she lightly brushed against Dominic, apologizing quietly, “I’m sorry sir.” She let a brief smile grace her lips, and then walked away.

She approached the table of her target and smiled, “Do you mind if I join you?” She set the ale on the table in front of him.

He looked up to her as she set the ale before him. “Sure thing sweetie, you can sit right here.” With that he pushed his chair back and patted his lap.

She smiled and shook her head. “Oh not so fast M’Lord.” She moved gracefully as she sat in the chair next to him. “Time for such comes later.” She took a sip of her wine.

“Yeah, ok it will.” He reached and put an arm around her, she cringed inwardly. He grabbed the ale with his free hand, she watched casually as he drained half the glass.

She knew that soon enough, before he got what he thought he was going to get, she would get what she needed and her job would be completed.

Dominic

I blinked as she passed by me. Something about her irked me and I didn't quite know what. I took another bite of soup and watched her go sit by the man at the table. They were defintely flirting, but I could not shake the feeling that somethign was going to happen.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on the small crystal ball in my hand. I waited for a vision to come to me.

The man was lying on the ground, his own blood staining his shirt. The woman was next to him, and her hands had his blood on them.

My eyes jolted open. I stared in shock as the man put his arm around her. This wasn't good....

Skyler

About an hour had passed as she had bought the man a few more mugs of ale. They continued to flirt openly, becoming more forward, keeping others away.

The man pulled her close, trying to kiss her. She easily avoided his advances. His words were a little slurred when he spoke, “Come on Sweetie, you know you want it.”

She smiled briefly, “Not here, this is not the place.” With her words, the man stood and grabbed her arm, pulling her after him. Leading her out into the night, where she felt more at home.

If her thoughts of the man were correct, and they were, he turned and led her down an alley.

Jasleth \

As the golden rings of Log-On faded away from him, Jasleth took a deep breath of air that had never existed. Why else would it smell so clean and fresh? This semester's finals had been pretty tough, and it was time for the Prodigous Youth to vent some steam.

He wandered down the main street of the town, A tall man with spiky blue hair that jutted forward into the air in defiance of physics, kept from falling into his face by a headband knotted at the back of his head. The tails of the scarlet headband fell to his waist and trailed out behind him in the twilight breeze. His ruggedly handsome features were softened by a friendly smile as he waved to a few newbies passing by. An open red vest over a black linen shirt covered his musculer torso, an red sash embroidered with gold served as his belt, and his loose black pants reached down to the ankle. He wore no shoes, only strips of linen wrapped around his feet as he padded quietly down the bustling road. Both forearms were covered with metallic bracers, one emblazoned with the rune for courage, the other with the rune for justice.

What to do tonight? Maybe kick some butt up in Arctica...but nt by himself. He wanted to go to the castle this time, which meant that he needed a group. "Best recruiting spot is the Inn." "Wonder if any of the regulers are on?"

Jasleth threw the door open wide, pausing in the entrance for a dramatic moment before entering. He tossed a few coins down onthe bar, "Milk, barkeep."

Grabbing the ceramic mug, Jasleth hopped onto a bar stool next to a nervous looking young man with long silver hair, "Haven't seen you before stranger, how you liking the town so far?"

After some really long, hard practicing on the new dance, still needing some work on it. Realizing that I could use a real meal and something to quench my thirst. There was a small tavern/Inn that was pretty decent. Heading over there, opening the door slowly making sure none of the veils got caught.

Found a spot in a corner hailed the waiter and ordered. Looking around for some possible groups or even a partner for some possible exp. and alittle more practice on the new dance.

Jasleth

Like all the PCs in the Inn, Jasleth took a second look at the stunning woman as she entered, silken veils and scarves enshrouding her in a fashion that only enhanced her considerable charms. Here was a lady who looked like she was up for some fun tonight, and he'd never seen a character model like that before.

He glanced over at the man next to him, how was staring into space. "Hmmm...must be lag," he thought. He slapped a few gold down in front of the man. "Barkeep, give me friend here whatever he wants once he comes to, okay?"

Jasleth hopped off the chair and padded over to where the mysterious figure sat in the corner, "Beg your pardon M'lady." He bowed grandly. "Usually I'd come over with a drink, but I would never make an assumption about what a new friend prefers." "Would you do me the honor of allowing me to sit here and share a meal with you?"

Dominic

I jumped back into reality as I heard the man next to me say something, then say something else before leaving. He had to tell him about his vision...that way he could see what this mystery woman was up to.

Unfortunatly...she was gone...and that left me with a moral dilemma on my hands. The problem with seeing the future is also having the annoying need to change it.

I stood up and moved to the man who had approached me earlier. He was well built and looked like a natural fighter; most likely a knight or monk class character. I saw he was talking to a woman, but this took precedence over his schmoozing with ladies.

"Um...excuse me? I'm the guy from the bar. Listen, I think something bad's going to happen...Could you help me follow someone? I wouldn;t normally ask this, but there could be a fight and well...I don't exactly have the strength stats to cover my ***" I said, noting how the game's censorship bleeped out my crude language. Bloody game ethics....

Jasleth

"A fight?" Jasleth bowed again to the mysterious woman, "Beg your pardon, M'lady, but adventrue calls!" Jasleth turned to the silver haired man, "Hey, if you need back-up to prevent something bad, you have it." "I haven't gotten in a scrap all night."

I'm Jasleth, and if you're heading into a fight, just lead the way." "No one can stand up to the fury of my Isshin Ryu Style!"

Dominic

I sighed at the man's over-enthusiastic nature. Bloody optimists...But he did have the fighting skills that I need. I just hope that his claim about noone being able to stand up to his fighting style rang true.

"Come with me then...I fear there is little time to lose." I led him away from the bar and out the inn doors and into the night. I looked around, wondering where she went when I got a sudden vision flashing through my head. A vision of the man leading the woman into an alley down the way.

"This way." I said. I led him to the corner of the alley and stopped him. "Let's just wait and watch." I said. I looked around the corner and saw the man and the woman. My vision was right. Now to see what she was up to...

Jasleth

Jasleth regarded the Oracle a moment. He wanted to charge ahead, if someone was going to do something bad shouldn't they be preventing it instead of waiting for it? 'Course, it wasn't he wasn't teh Oracle...andhe'd joined the other man's party. He was the boss.

"Whaever you say...though if we're going to stop something, shouldn't we stomping the piss out of some bad guy?" Seeing that his partner was concentrating, Jasleth just shrugged. "No prob though." "You say wait, I'll wait.

"I hate waiting."

Kryss~

Watching both men, the once sat next to me, just when we started to chat alittle the other came over. I heard about his concern, had nothing better to do so decided to ask if I could tag along.

"Excuse me sir, I don't mean to intrude. Yet I couldn't help but over hear. There isn't much I can fight wise, but I have spells that may be of service. If it came to that and if you wish it." Very calm tone in my voice. Smiled at the one that was sitting next to me, remained seated unless the one did wish me to join. Finished off my dinner as I await for his reply.

"By the way, my name is Kryss." smiling again at the one guy.

Skyler

They moved down the alley until they found a dark enough place or so the man thought. He pushed her against the wall and tried to kiss her, this time she acted as if she would let him. At the last moment she was distracted by sounds at the entrance to the alley, she glanced that way, trying to keep her attention on the man.

She played along with him a moment. She felt her need for his blood growing within, she knew it would restore her health, which was needed after her last few nights without the blood.

She roughly pushed him away, and whispered so the watchers would not hear. “Another time my friend.” She was not going to let herself be seen killing this man unless he pushed her to it, and would make it look as if he deserved it.

He grabbed her roughly and pushed her against the wall. “Oh no you don’t sweetie, not now. You’re not going anywhere.” He of course had not sensed or heard the others at the entrance to the alley.

Her eyes flashed in the darkness, as she reached for the dagger at her hip. In one quick fluid movement she brought it up, aiming for his throat, but her distraction and his drunkenness caused her to slice more across his shoulder.

“You Little *****.” There it went, the censoring. Must be another player, since the game itself didn’t use language that needed censoring. Then he punched her hard, but to his amazement she seemed to shake it off somewhat.

Damn shouldn’t have let him hit me. She hissed at him her fangs extended. “Now for that you will die, here tonight.” She lunged forward at the man, player or not she was hired to take him out, and that she would.

He grabbed her and spun throwing her into the wall of the building behind him, using her momentum to carry her forward. That move was enough to stun her as he turned, drew his sword and advanced on her.

Dominic

This was an odd turn of events. I thought the woman was going to slaughter the man...but now it looks like the exact opposite. His vision just showed her with his blood...it didn't say that it wouldn't be self-defense.

"Jasleth!" I turned to the monk, glad I had added him to my buddy list as I would not be able to normally remember a name like that. Kryss, who had joined with us as well looked at me too. "We have to stop this!"

I ran out into the alley. "Both of you stop right now!" I yelled. "My party has enough fire power to incapacitate you both and you would definitly be punished by the town for back alley fighting!" I was making up the whole thing and I hoped I had a high enough charisma to convince them of such. "So just back off."

Don't call my bluff....don't call my bluff....don't call my bluff....

Skyler

She heard their approach as the three of them entered the alley. She barely stepped asinde in time to avoid the man's sword as he slashed at her.

She stepped in and grabbed his arm, she wasn't about to stop and let him get a free swing on her. She spun and easily twisted his arm around behind him. "Drop the sword."

He growled at her, and tried to break her grasp, it was times like these she loved her Vampire class. She smiled, "You can keep it up and they can watch you die." She whispered quietly in his ear. "Or you can take this chance to run away."

He dropped the sword and she stepped away from him. Putting distance between the two of them. She looked to the approaching group and then to the man as he retreated away from them down the alley, moving the opposite direction of the three.

She stood her ground as they approached, not wanting her action of following the man, to seem as an act of agression. She had fighting skills and they were good, but not good enough to take on more than two opponents.

Dominic

I didn't move as the man apparently decided to give up and run past us. I kept my eyes on the woman. Innocent or not, I still could not shake a foreboding feeling I had about her. Well, there was only one way to find out for sure.

"Now," I said to the woman, "Do you mind telling us what exactly was going on down here?"
