Lewis Hamilton - black chap drives a car like he stole it.. commented that racism is wrong and that black lives matter. Nice photo op, good sound bite.

Er...

Lewis, one of your sponsors is Hugo Boss.. didnt they make Nazi uniforms?

and on what basis do you judge that they're getting involved in shit they don't understand?

it is &you don't

it is if you want a discussion

they often do

one of his sponsors, a clothes designer, used to make nazi uniforms 75-70 years ago. that doesn't mean they are nazi sympathisers now, does it? nor does it mean he (lewis) is solely living off pot loads of money from them... should he drop them as a sponsor? i'm sure he could get others but i'm struggling to see why it's relevant now?

just because he has a lot of money doesn't necessarily equate to him not knowing what the fuck is going on in the blm movement. maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. my point is that not all celebrities live in impermeable bubbles, a lot of them involved in charities and aid movements.

too many celebrities jump on bandwagons, it's true, and do so belatedly and only after getting called out for not standing up and making their voice heard in the first place. it took don lemon calling them out over here, first, to start seeing a lot of them making theirmselves visible. he told them not to put 'their brand' above doing what's right and using their highly visible platforms to highlight issues, told them not to forget the struggles just because they'd achieved a place of comfort in this world. sure, we know most the root work is done by those who deal with it daily, not celebrities, but it helps spread a movement when they join in.

so by that logic cedric rhodes statue should remain, the bristol one should be put back up?

And Deli Ali (spurs footballer, with no grasp of covid) should be made England Captain?
