For the first time?

Do you wait till that special moment?

Or just blurt it out without thinking?

Or wait till they say it first?

Anyone get tongue tied and say the wrong thing?:D

jl:kiss:

I've only said it once. It was one night as we were watching the telly. I turned my head and said, "You know, I think I love you." I suppose it was quite sweet in its own little way. Thankfully she felt the same way.

edit: to one person, I mean. Told her I love her more than once!

I think it's a term that is definitly overused by people who do not truly mean it. I never say it unless I mean it. As for the timing, it just depends.

It should be said when you feel that it is the time to say it.

Yes...I agree it is often overused by some.

I've had people tell me they said I love you to someone when it first hit them and later regretted saying it. I wonder if by waiting, though, do we really ever find the right time.

The few times I've said it, it's been more of a blurt than anything else! When I first said it to my wife, she stared at me and said,"Don't tell me that!" We got married two months later.

When the feeling truly hits you....this has been known to backfire.

It's something that I rarely say to people in the romantic sense.

I can actually count on one hand how many times I've said it.. and each time I meant it.

It loses it's specialness when it's said too often to just anyone.

As for when.. when I feel it in my heart. :)

Well...that just it, isn't it?

Placing the feeling with the time.

I think when the feeling strikes you. There is something to be said for giving over to the moment.

This kinda goes in hand with that thread on regrets...and not telling someone this, would be something that I would regret for a long time.

Hi, gorgeous.

I know what you mean. I'm not big on saying the "L" word either. Love I mean...not lust.:D

I would think just about anytime you say it there is the opportunity for rejection. Maybe that's why most people are hesitant in the first place.

Definitely BEFORE you ejaculate in their mouth! TRUST ME ON THIS!

When the love washes over you like a tidal wave leaving you gasping for air and your only hope for survival, happiness, is to open your mouth and say, "I love you."

Heya, handsome.

Did I do a thread on regret or are you talking about someone elses?

I am barely coherent today..don't hold me accountable for what I post, ok?

I think it was someone else's...I actually can't remember. I just thought about it while I was writing my answer.

I always enjoy what you post, silly woman...were you ever worried? :)

Hi, Gilly.

I would have expected that response from you. You always seem very carefree and spontaneous.:)

for goodness sakes, we as humans are meant to LOVE!
say it, express it, LOVE for all it's worth~~~ it feels good doesn't it... shoot, I understand that some people may believe that 'I love you' is a contract or something but it shouldn't be and we all know it!

Hell, there are people I have never met that I absolutely love~~~ it's their Spirit! and it's only through their postings here that they shine & I believe I 'know' them.... give give give, don't hold back... and not expect anything it return because in the giving is where you get the return, you get the love of true expression & giving of yourself...

oh boy! I never stop. Love to you all. : )
