What's your library size?

Excellent point. Hunkering down with a compelling book during a blizzard or a cold cold day is one of life’s true pleasures.

Books everywhere here. 2 Built in shelves, 3 5 shelf cases, 2 three shelf cases, and one two shelf, plus boxes of books. Over 1k.

How many books do you own?

I have 368 books.
I don't own many books, except for those I saved from college. They function as a kind of scrapbook of memories. But since 2008 I've read 4212 from my local library. Who knows how many before that.

I use librarything to catalog my library, go figure. I always wanted one of those big english manor libraries.

I had over 400, but I'm in the process of thinning the collection. I have made two large donations to the library and have two bags ready to go. I'm probably down to 350 or so.

Does anyone else feel the need to "save" books when you see people toss them or give them away? I have some from 1902 and the stories in them will be lost most likely when the books are gone. Daughter isn't too keen on taking the collection.

Many 1000s over the years but lost or gave away a lot during moves. Maybe a few hundred now. I kind of hate having them, much prefer ebooks because they don't fill so much space.
