I make around 30,000 a year. No insurance, no benefits. I work a 40 hour week. I earn vacation by hours worked but the max is one week per year. We only get a quarter raise every two years.

My thoughts exactly.

I get scheduled 45 hours a week, I work at least 50, I average about 55 which is an improvement from my last store where I was working 65 hours a week on average.

That's not including the hours I put in for my costumes, which is another 10-20.

Sometimes I miss being hourly.

This is what frusterates my mom. I work McCoOp. Benifits for a salary manager with McCoOp include 10 paid holidays (taken in 5 day blocks) starting 2 weeks vacation with one week added about every 3 years and a "splash week" every 5 years, 401k, full medical, a % raise once a year based on evaluations, quarterly bonuses up to $3000 ($10000 for GMs) and a starting salary of $28k yearly. They tell me we get sick pay too, but I haven't taken advantage of that as of yet.

All of this after only 2 years with the company. Oh, GMs also get a company car after 5 years with all maitenance paid and all gas paid. And after 10 years as a manager you get 10 week paid sabatical.

That's my McJob.
